After the capture of the fearsome Fire Fist Ace and the supposed death of the sea witch, the kingdom itself was in celebration. How could the people of this rich and wonderful South kingdom not brag about their latest victory? The freckled orca had evaded capture long enough, despite the world’s best efforts, protected by Whitebeard and his influence- then by the Sea Witch and his presence.
But it all came to a gritty end at the hands of the Fleet Admiral himself. The victory was his to relish, with Ace locked away and awaiting his execution.
But why bother fighting it anymore? As far as he knew, Luffy was far away, Sabo was dead, and Anne was lost to him. The world he knew has suddenly fallen apart, and Ace can’t find it in him to fight back anymore. And as he stayed locked away in his cell, the world beyond that prison was celebrating.
The kingdom was alive with parties hosted by the rich, drinks galore. The streets were barren for once, most having skittered back to their homes aside from the few patrol units going around to ensure peace. The residents of the kingdom may have time to enjoy their victories, but Sakazuki was on edge. Just because they captured Ace didn’t mean they would keep him there.
It was all too sensitive, until the execution of the orca was ensured.
But what was that, flying through the sea, as if launched out viciously out. This little leopard shark could only watch as she flies through, crash-landing abruptly.
Whatever the case may be! She needed help, and... she probably wasn’t allowed in this kingdom anyway.
Coby decided to take it upon himself to investigate this matter.
His little tail swayed from side-to-side excitedly as he rushed to the sight of the crash. And-- there she was, a beautiful orca! Intruder, yes... and an orca. There was something familiar about her that reminded him of Garp too, but.. he wonder if that was too presumptuous. Is that implying that all orcas look alike? Coby shook his head with a huff.
He swam over to her cautiously, keeping his distance, and as he got closer... He realized why she looked so familiar. “Luffy-!!!” He rushed to her then, throwing his arms around her in a tight hug--- oh wait, he probably shouldn’t..! With a flush of red across his face, Coby backed off and rubbed the back of his head nervously. “Wh- What are you doing here..!?”
It had been too long since he saw her last.
