so I finally gathered up the balls and effort to draw and share some stuff bout an oc of mine. Probably a lot of lore inaccuracies but idc, this is my dollhouse lol. So. Behold: My darling Ilralaeth.
For those interested there is a bit of bio/lore and some memes I made for them for my friends behind the cut. (as well as a full body shot of their art.)
Note beforehand, I am very bad at this whole presenting my stuff thing to others so pls pls bear with me.
Ilra was originally craftworld born, on which is yet to be decided. Initially starting out on the path of the dancer, then the warrior, before starting on the path of the mystic. For one reason or another, also still baking those out, they abandoned the way of the mystic and their craftworld all together, instead taking upon the path of the outcast and becoming a corsair. Yarharr.
Honestly this is the patch that I have the least bit worked out so far, as I still need to do more research into Eldari corsairs lol.
Upon a scouting situation after an unfortunate (still to be tinkered out) incident, their shuttle crashed on some dump of a planet. Most of the crew perished in the crash, most of the rest during the initial aftermath due to the high toxicity of the planets athmosphere. Ilra as well as some others survived either through dumb luck or in their case, due to their psychic proficency. Though he surviving crew tbh soon wished that they too had succumbed to the poisoned air, as shortly after the sun disappeared disturbing creatures swarmed the crashsite, taking the kicking and screaming eldar to the fortress of their master. An overlord, as the corsairs had the misfortune of crashing on Barbarus. (womp womp)
To Ilralaeths' luck they crashed during the reclamaition effort, as only days after their capture the overloords castle was swarmed by resistance fighters as well as one (1) Primarch. Though at this point they are in fact the last elf standing.. or well... cowering in their cell... as the others have already been turned into meat sludge tm as well as flesh construct's tm. Ilra also isn't looking as pretty as they are looking in this art, as their hair has been shorn off, wig for the overlord maybe idk man, and they are just decrepit looking.
Long story short, they are freed and to the best of their current ability help the resistance fighters. I am uncertain how good their low gothic/ barbaran? is so some potential langauge barrier things be happening. I am still working out the finer details, but Ilra stays with Mortarions resistance, they get along. Get kinda friendly. You know. Something might happend during the great crusade.
Though I still have to do the maths on how and why they go along with it. A thought I had was that due to the loss of their crew they kinda don't really have anyone anymore so they stick with the humans but idk. Am still cooking on that.
