unless my teammates let me get killed a foot away from them and get mad when I can’t heal them because I’m walking back from spawn, in which case I don’t feel bad if they die because they kind of deserve it lol

oh yeah some people just don’t know that they need to protect their healers. in that case i usually just hang back at spawn for a few seconds and see how everything goes to shit because they didn't realize just how much damage i protected them from

11- Favorite settlement

I’m so glad I was asked this twice, because I can answer what her absolute favourite settlement is. It’s Taffington Boathouse. It’s not even a settlement, because everyone knows it’s off limits as it’s her house. A few Minuteman patrols might roll around, especially when she’s not there, just to make sure nothing bad happened to it, but other than that, it’s strictly limited to Princess and her family. 

She spends a long time fixing it up with the help of Mac and various other people, and it’s hard work, the doors look a bit wonky, the roof leaks in a few places, but she doesn’t even care all that much, because she’s too proud of what she accomplished. It has cozy sofas and armchairs, all renovated by her, a bed with warm blankets and comfy pillows she got from the kind people of Vault 81, and of course there are teddy bears everywhere. 

She didn’t think it was possible, but she actually made herself a peaceful and safe little home. (A pet deathclaw and a few turrets help with the protection of course.)

18- Favorite animal, mutated or not

Cats!! She loves cats, and considers it her most important mission to pet every single one of them. She loves Dogmeat with all her heart, but she’s always been a cat person.

And she absolutely adores brahmin, she always spends long minutes talking to them in silly voices and scratching behind their ears when she meets caravans and provisioners.

Lee Maracle is a writer, activist and performer from the Stó:lō nation located in the area now known as British Columbia. She is currently the Aboriginal Writer-in-Residence for First Nations House, and an instructor in the Aboriginal Studies Department at the University of Toronto. Lee is one of the founders of the En’owkin International School of Writing in Penticton, BC, and Cultural Director of the Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto. She mentors young people on personal and cultural healing and reclamation.
