There wasn't much that could surprise the medicine seller anymore, but nature always had a way of doing so from time to time. Rain dripped off wavy hair and weighed fabric against skin as he walked easily through the downpour and up to stand beside the stranger as he settled below the impromptu shelter. His head turned towards the other slightly at the faint sound of a sigh while he idly rung the water from his sleeve. Yet curiosity had him pause a moment as he properly paid attention to this stranger.
Oh? This was no ordinary human. There was the familiar presence of humanity but it was joined by something other. Something human 'made' perhaps.
Yellow eyes turned to look at him as the flash of lightning lit the colorful features. A smile curved his lips as he glanced from the stranger towards the rain beyond their shelter as he considered the words.
" It's been over due, it'll take time before it finishes. " He replied easily, turning to wring out the water from his other sleeve away from the other. " As for some other shelter... The inn nearby has a cafe open to the public. It shouldn't be too busy this time of year. " And it happened to be where he was heading next. Gathering spots were always the best places to hear unusual rumors. Or perhaps learn about unusual strangers? Not that he had much room to talk. " Would you like me to show you the way? "
