I swear I'm still alive and active, I'm just dealing with a LOT of offline stuff right now, including trying to separate entirely from my mother and move out/away. Possibly low/no contact for a bit, too.

I'm sorry I've been silent for months, but I'm trying to survive and manage on my own. It's really hard, and I still haven't told her I'm going to move out. I do have a lot of support from friends, so I might be okay for at least a bit.

"That sounds fun, I've never done that before!" In the past, she'd focused only on necessities, since it was hard for her to run around freely, and before...best not to think of it. Himiko seemed really excited, cheeks flushed in anticipation.

"I mean, in myths, kinda. But that's about it." She continues to scrutinize him, looking a bit unimpressed. "The only people I've seen in clothes like yours were cosplaying, dunno what from."

"What's spiritual ability? That's...not my Quirk. Like...not at all." This guy was really committed to the role.

"...It's not so much you in particular - more just habit due to my line of work." that seemed an efficient enough explanation without giving away too much, and he wouldn't comment on the lack of friends - it seemed rude.

"Do you approach random people on the street often...? That doesn't seem like a very safe habit to form... Are your parents fine with this?"

"Oh, d'you work as a vigilante?" She asked, curious. He seemed like he was the type.

At the mention of her parents, her face seemed to darken, closing off. The girl seemed completely different from a few seconds ago. Angry. "They'd be happy a monster was dead, if I got killed."

It was a bitter response, 'monster' tinted with a sense of brokenness. She...genuinely believed she was one, on some level, that much was obvious.

I'm returning to my nerdy roots and making a Sonic AU for Himiko. I've got a design, and a friend is helping me translate her powers into something that would be possible in-universe.

In 2012, lil baby Mori found tumblr while looking for Sonic franchise fanart/stuff in general. That was the current obsession! She found a Mephiles the Dark ask blog, and loooooved it! It was saved on a browser tab on their iPod touch, and eventually, he made an account, just to like stuff there, and keep track of it.

I don't remember the rest, or the name of the blog, but the art was like...little boxes with stick arms and legs, and the head. I distinctly remember Mephi in a pink leotard and tutu art, with something like... "Why not join me?" in it.

Aaaaanyway, that's why I'm here, 12 years later!
