Running around Cazador’s palace for a day on and off, and got tired of that fever dream of a music, so I play one of my favorite Baldur’s Gate ambiance mixes on youtube on my other computer, while running the game on my laptop.
All good and wonderful, until the full version of “I Want To Live”, with lyrics and all, started playing exactly, precisely after Astarion kills Cazador.
I had to do a double take, make sure I wasn’t losing my mind, mute the laptop to be certain it isn’t somehow coming from the game, but nah, it was from the yt compilation.
It wasn’t enough that it was 4AM and I was an emotional wreck, this random supernatural thing had to happen.

Dark urban/eldritch fantasy headcanon: ADHD is the product of genetic tinkering by Old Ones to create functional heralds and more sophisticated human servants. The lack of focus/short term memory means that people with ADHD have a better chance of being able to move past the all-encompassing awe and majesty and grandness of a Great One because to even attempt to process it requires too much focus and the ADHD brain quits on those tasks before it gets started.
Its why ADHD didn't show up until the late 1600s, because that's when the Old Ones started breaking through.
Ok but like hear me out... imagine that, as time goes on, Johannes just kinda... gets increasingly Eldritch.
Like this is a man who sold his soul and didn’t really mind it until it became inconvenient. Sam Winchester who?? Step the frig aside. He’s turned into a ghoul and literally tricked himself to turn back into a human. He’s met Nyarthalotep like,, 4 times?? And lived?? (Probably more or less idk should we include maybe-nyarthalotep Satan??)
This man can’t be defined within the concept of “just mortal”, no way.
And I don’t mean Eldritch like, he looses touch with humanity (anymore so than he already has) or with himself.

Horst will come over one night and. Johannes will just be reading by the fire place, this mass of eyes and tendrils possessing his Shadow and Horst will just be like What in The Nine Realms and Johannes will look up calmly like, ‘Oh? Are you ok?’ And the shadow eyes will blink with him. And it’ll slowly settle back into something more human shaped and normal.
Like. Lil random Very Off Putting things.

Decided to keep it flat colored because I was having the worst time trying to shade for whatever reason. If I get motivated to try again, this may be replaced with a shaded version at a later date. But, I have a few other projects in mind, and this isn't a priority.
