Can anyone help me recall this ghost based point and click game?

ohhh….I'm wondering if anyone knows about this, I have vague recollections of a bus driver who used to talk to me about video games. They talked about mostly point and click adventure games, such as Myst. but there is one I always remember but do not know the name of at all.

 you travel through the grounds of a haunted house, hunting various kinds of ghosts and trapping them within various bottles.

The ghosts were pretty varied too, the ones I remember being told about were a Tar ghost, a laundry ghost, and an electric ghost (which was the final boss) in various glass bottles marked by different kinds of animals (the final boss specifically had a scorpion bottle). 

I even remember being given a manual to look at for it, with one striking bit of artwork I’ll always remember. Its of someone’s eye, open wide, with the reflection of what I assumed to be the Tar Ghost in it.

does anyone know what this game was? I am really wanting to know what it was exactly.

So @barbiegirlgordon and I met @jasonlatour today!
