I was going through a list of 80′s songs my favorite St Louis radio station used to play looking for music I’d forgotten about when I stumble across this Canadian gem. This song was released in the spring of 1987, and its lyrics are maybe more relevant today that even back then.
Lyrics:
Cover my eyes and ears 'Til it all disappears How can you judge for me What I should hear and see You take away freedom of choice Take away the right to voice My beliefs and all my views You take away my right to choose
Show me what should I see (Na na na na na nah) Make my mind up for me (Na na na na na nah) Show me what should I see (Na na na na na nah) What should I see?
How can you censor my thoughts? What is right what is not? How is it you decide What I should feel inside? Quoting God as you discuss What is right or wrong for us You inundate us with your views You take away my right to choose
Show me what should I see (Na na na na na nah) Make my mind up for me (Na na na na na nah) Show me what should I see (Na na na na na nah What should I see? You take away freedom of choice You take away my right to voice My beliefs and all my views You take away my right to choose
Show me what should I see (Na na na na na nah) Make my mind up for me (Na na na na na nah) Show me what should I see (Na na na na na nah) Make my mind up for me (Na na na na na nah) (Na na na na na nah) (Na na na na na nah) (Na na na na na nah) Make my mind up for me (Na na na na na nah) Show me what should I see (Na na na na na nah)

Frozen Ghost is the debut album of the band Frozen Ghost, released in 1987. Its first single, “Should I See” (a song about censorship) reached #69 on the Billboard Hot 100. The run-out groove of side two on the LP contains unintelligible speech. When played backwards, a voice (presumably Arnold Lanni’s) says, “You are ruining your needle!” The cover picture was taken in Scarborough, Ontario at…
