Ford F-150 EV to be called Lightning The all-electric Ford F-150 will wear the storied Lightning name and will debut May 19 in a livestream event from Ford’s world headquarters in Dearborn, Mich., the automaker announced Monday afternoon. Brownlee said that the prototype Ford lent him was showing 367 miles of range on about 80% charge without any cargo in the back. It means that the electric vehicle could get over 400 miles without any cargo in the back.
