Anya
Daniella has romantic feelings for Anya. Daniella playfully flirted with her at times, trying to test the waters. Anya would often flirt back or respond with a laugh but it still wasn't clear to either of their feelings were truly reciprocated.
Almost all shipments that Anya went on, Daniella was there as well. This gave them ample time to get to know each other intimately, along with the fact they hung out frequently back home.
They spent almost all their free time on the Tulpar together and stuck by each other’s sides post-crash. Along with this, Anya had gone to stay in Daniella’s room three months before the crash, due to Jimmy. This shows her trust in Daniella, even if she never told her the whole story.
Daniella struggled with migraines post-crash. Anya would try her best to alleviate them with the limited resources she had to work with; ensuring she got enough sleep, trying to lower her stress, making sure she was hydrated, and staying in the dark of their now shared room as light can worsen migraines.
Durga
Daniella views Durga as a younger sister because of how close they are and the fact that Daniella often feels familial-love to her younger peers.
Daniella was with Durga during her first shipment, and she took it upon herself to show her the ropes. The nature of their roles caused their duties to overlap so they naturally grew close.
They also hung out outside of work when possible. This aided in their bond growing stronger.
While not shown or specified when this happened, we know that they spoke about their pasts and familial issues with each other before the crash. It's more than likely that Daniella told her story to Durga to show she can relate to not having the most supportive family.
After the crash, Daniella would check on Durga when she had the time. Daniella would tell her funny or lighthearted stories about her life back on Earth, her time working for the Pony Express, and even some about her co-workers to lift her spirits. She wishes she could've done more to help her.
Daisuke
Daniella cares for Daisuke a lot. She enjoys his company and playfully teases him about lots of things.
They don't interact much after the crash, but they appear to be a good team. They worked together in the cockpit to make repairs secretly in an attempt to get them back home.
Curly
Not much is known about their relationship but it's clear Daniella respects Curly as a captain and authority figure, much more than Jimmy.
She heard about Curly and Jimmy from Durga before the events of ‘Mouthwashing’ so that had some influence in her opinion of him.
Swansea
Daniella knew Swansea about 10 years prior to the events of ‘Mouthwashing’. He was her mentor, similar to how Curly was Durga’s. Swansea was already well versed in mechanics so Daniella naturally became skilled too. However, she was scared of him at first as due to his resemblance to her dad. He took a more hands-off approach with her teaching when he realized her discomfort, for both of their sakes. This allowed time for her fear of him to dissolve.
Their relationship was one where they could interact casually. Swansea isn't the nicest person so that can bother Daniella, but he isn't the worst in her opinion; they like joking with eachother.
After Swansea began to drink mouthwash, Daniella started to fear him in his drunken state. Swansea would never go out his way to intentionally hurt her, but her past made her paranoid. It seems she ‘guarded’ the sleeping quarters in case he'd act out.
Jimmy
Daniella does not like Jimmy. She finds him hard to look at, or in other words, she thinks he's ‘fugly’.
Daniella heard about Curly and Jimmy through Durga before the events of ‘Mouthwashing’ so that had influence in her opinion of him. She still treats him with respect as he is ‘above’ her in terms of authority and in order to remain in good standing with him.
Post-crash, Daniella grew fearful of Jimmy. He stressed her about maintaining the electrical systems in the ship, leading to her work quality depleting. She still tries her hardest as to not end up on the receiving end of his wrath.
She lost respect for him and doesn't view him as a proper captain. She mocks him under her breath when she's especially tired of his behavior.
