Fankidtober post #3! Another revived fankid coming back from the Graveyard lol. This is Violet’s son, now with Lt. Surge, that I renamed Douglas! Still keeping with the water-themed names, though I’m undecided about what Douglas’s occupation is.

Pokemon Next-Gen (Movie Kids): Sapphire Surge
Sapphire is the twin daughter of Violet and Lt. Surge. While her twin brother was more interested in following their father’s footsteps, Sapphire wanted to be a star much like her mother and her aunts. When Sapphire got word that her cousin Opal had her own show at PokeStar Studios, Sapphire followed behind and wanted to have her own show as well, she honestly was okay with just staring secondary roles instead of lead roles. Sapphire had gotten both of her wishes as she was cast a role alongside Alistair where she’s the princess of a kingdom from another dimension and Alistair has to protect her from Corvin all while they both keep their identities a secret. In the show where she has the lead role, she’s a mermaid-themed magical girl who has to fight crime underwater with her team of Water-type Pokemon. Sapphire is calm and very easy going, but she’s also talkative and she’s always happy to be with others her age, she can be a bit shy at first but when she gets to know a person she can open up a lot and consider them to be a friend. Sapphire is a very talented dancer and singer, she’s often the voice of many pieces of songs, including the theme song and ending theme of her show. She’s very close to her cousins Opal and Pearl, she also enjoys hanging out with Opal, Harmony, Mathis, Corvin, Alistair, and Cressida. She has a crush on Alistair.
Her main colors are blue and turquoise. From blue, she’s honest and very calm. Blue also represents her loyalty and integrity, she’s also caring to those around her, she’s also helpful and she’s very trusting. Sapphire has a lot of devotion to what she does, whether she’s it’s about her acting career or her family’s water shows, she has a lot of devotion to what she does and will always do her best with whatever she’s given. Blue also represents her communication skills and her responsibility, while not the oldest of her cousins she’s still very responsible. Turquoise helps create some emotional balance, it also represents how she’s friendly and is enjoying her life. Turquoise also helps her concentrate and gives her a boost of creativity, she’s also good at multi-tasking and is great at communicating to those around her and it represents her clarity of thought and how she’s balanced and in harmony with herself, as well as her observation skills and her perception.
Her Pokemon:
Primarina- Primarina was given to Sapphire while she, Opal, Pearl, Phoenix, and Magnolia were visiting a Pokemon breeding facility for the Popplio family. One of the Primarinas was singing and sitting as if she was an actual mermaid, Sapphire would interact and talk with this Primarina who ended up wanting to join Sapphire, the breeder agreed and allowed Sapphire to have Primarina. Primarina is a gentle and kind Pokemon, she’s also very protective of Sapphire and will always help her trainer with whatever she may need. Primarina also enjoys performing and is glad that her trainer acts in a TV show related to mermaids. Primarina is also motherly to Sapphire, she also likes to give affection to Sapphire by hugging her or nuzzling her, she also will sing alongside Sapphire. She’s often seen outside of her Dive ball.
Given in a Dive Ball.
Ability is Torrent
Moves are Sparkling Aria, Bubble Beam, Moonblast, Sing, Icy Wind, Whirlpool, Draining Kiss, Dazzling Gleam, Psychic, and Surf.
Dewgong- Dewgong is the same Dewgong that was a Seel at the Cerulean City Gym, he had bonded with Sapphire since she was a young girl and decided to always stay with her, which Violet had allowed since Dewgong stopped participating in the Water shows and he isn’t registered as a gym Pokemon. Dewgong is a gentle Pokemon that enjoys taking things easy, he prefers not to battle but if someone pushes him hard enough he loses his easy-going and kind nature and will attack without mercy, especially if someone threatens Sapphire, which shows how much he cares about her. Dewgong is very strong and he will have to hold back during action scenes because of that.
Given in a Pokeball
Ability is Ice Body.
Moves are Sheer Cold, Headbutt, Signal Beam, Hail, Blizzard, Skull Bash, Perish Song, Aqua Tail, Surf and Water Pulse.
Vaporeon- Vaporeon is the son of Misty’s Vaporeon and he was given to Sapphire when she turned eleven. He quickly decided he wanted to be a Vapoeron much like his mother as the other Eeveelutions didn’t stick out to him and he didn’t want to stay as an Eevee. Vaporeon is loyal to Sapphire and is glad to be part of her team, he was confused about wanting to battle or wanting to be in a water show however it’s thanks to Sapphire’s role as a TV start that he’s able to battle and perform. Vaporeon is quick to react if anything is to happen, which is great for when it’s about to rain so he always makes sure to tell Sapphire who will, in turn, tell her friends so they can be prepared for the rain.
Caught in a Dive Ball.
Ability is Water Absorb.
Moves are Aurora Beam, Muddy Water, Aqua Ring, Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Iron Tail, Shadow Ball, Weather Ball, Whirlpool, and Scald.
Chinchou- Chinchou was caught by Sapphire while she was fishing while her Pokemon were swimming in the ocean. Chinchou was fished up and caught after battling with Vaporeon. Chinchou is a sweet Pokemon, while she isn’t a major fan of battling she will battle if asked to and sure she may be a bit weaker than her teammates she’ll still train to do her best each time when it’s time for them to train. Chinchou is also playful, enjoying the times Sapphire has time off from the shoots, however, she has to keep her skin wet or she’ll end up drying out and will end up tired, thankfully Sapphire’s other teammates keep her from drying up completely. Chinchou also has a special way of communicating with Sapphire and her friends by flashing her antennae, Sapphire can translate what each flash and combination means, which is very helpful.
Caught in a Lure Ball.
Ability is Volt Absorb.
Moves are Charge, Discharge, Bubble Beam, Ice Beam, Brine, Scald, Agility, Electro Ball, Psybeam, and Thunderbolt.
Lumineon- Sapphire was suggested to catch another underwater Pokemon the director, she wasn’t sure what Pokemon she could catch until Alistair suggested she catch a Lumineon and a Goldeen as both of them were pretty common where they were, Sapphire agreed and the two of them went to catch a Lumineon first and would catch a Goldeen if there was still time. Sapphire had fished up a Finneon and quickly caught her after weakening her in battle. As a Finneon, she was cheerful and happy to do whatever she could to please Sapphire, after evolving Lumineon had gained a more relaxed and calming behavior, she also uses the shining lights her species is known for as distractions. Lumineon is quiet and isn’t mega interested in battling but she will do anything that makes her trainer happy and will always do her best.
Caught in a Dive Ball.
Ability is Storm Drain.
Moves are Silver Wind, Aqua Ring, Water Pulse, Rain Dance, Safeguard, Scald, Signal Beam, Agility, Surf, and Aqua Tail.
Goldeen- After catching Lumineon as a Finneon, Sapphire and Alistair went to catch a Goldeen. They managed to fish up a Goldeen and catch her easily. Goldeen is a gentle Pokemon that loves to move elegantly in the water, she also takes great pride in her water dancing skills and enjoys showing off to others. Goldeen is glad to be part of Sapphire’s team and enjoys taking part in her role as a mermaid based magical girl, Goldeen is a surprisingly strong battler but she refuses to evolve into Seaking, preferring to stay as a Goldeen. Goldeen does enjoy the thrill of a battle and trains with Dewgong whenever they have the time since Dewgong is the strongest of Sapphire’s team. She gets along with Lumineon.

Getting back to drawing fankid key art, so here's Jodi, Violet's daughter and Lt. Surge's stepdaughter! She's basically a magical girl protagonist, toast in mouth and all. Her school notebooks are filled with doodles of magical places.
Peony?
10 Facts About Peony Hanada
She has light blue hair, a mixture of her parents’ colors, and blue eyes like her father. Her hair is a medium length and she usually keeps it tied back in a ponytail, though when they were younger (before their falling out), Heather would always like to play with her big sister’s hair and put it in all sorts of braids and fancy styles. Peony never learned how to do much beyond a basic ponytail or braid so those are the styles she sticks to now.
She’s very sporty, always needing to do some kind of physical activity each day so she doesn’t get restless. Her favorite is undoubtedly swimming, though unlike her water ballerina mother, Peony prefers swimming just to work out, usually doing laps or long-distance swimming if she’s in the ocean. Aside from swimming, she also enjoys running, typically putting on some music and just zoning out, often finding that she’s run a good deal further than she intended. Surge occasionally joins his daughter on her runs or to work out as well and it’s one of their typical father-daughter activities.
Peony takes after her father more, so it’s no surprise she trains electric-types like him. Her starter was an Elekid given to her as an egg by Surge when she was around 11 years old, as a present for placing first in her school’s track and field meet.
Being so similar to her father, Peony tends to be closer to him than her mother, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get along with Violet. Violet taught Peony how to swim and also was her lifeguard instructor when Peony decided to get her certification. Aside from swimming, Peony also tends to feel more comfortable going to her mother for emotional support as for all of Surge’s strengths... knowing how to handle two teen girls’ emotional drama isn’t one of them.
Being athletic, motivated, and a skilled trainer, Peony has always been her father’s star child. She never really realized how much this hurt and her younger sister growing up. Heather would always try to impress Peony (and by extension their father) but it never seemed to work, so over the years she grew bitter and withdrawn from her family, eventually abandoning them and falling in with a bad crowd. Peony feels horrible for not realizing what her sister was going through, as she always assumed that Heather was fine being in her own niche and wasn’t interested in all the sporty stuff she and their father were into (though Heather was also keeping these feelings to herself, not even telling Violet about how she felt left out, so her running away came as a surprise to her parents as well.)
Because of what happened with Heather, Peony tries to be extra observant of others’ feelings now, not wanting to unintentionally neglect someone’s wishes or desire for attention again. As a Gym Leader, she takes her responsibilities very seriously and has a reputation for being both strict and fair.
She’s an absolutely horrendous artist, being unable to properly draw even a stick figure. This always frustrated her growing up, especially since her cousin Camellia is a far better artist than her despite being 9 years younger. Peony has quite a bit of pride since she tends to be quite good at most things, so being outdone by someone far younger in anything is always a bit embarrassing for her.
While she wants to find Heather and reconcile with her, a part of Peony also resents her sister for her actions. She knows that she is partially to blame for Heather’s ultimate alienation, but by leaving she also hurt their parents, who both also regret not realizing just how they had hurt her. Peony’s strong loyalty and protectiveness of her family cause her feelings to be at war - she both wants to find Heather so they can repair their sisterly bond, but she’s also mad at her for hurting their family by leaving.
Being the eldest of the ‘Cerulean cousins’, Peony tends to see herself as the big sister to all her younger cousins, which is welcomed by some and... not as much by others. She takes her family very seriously and is a bit of a bossy ‘big sis’, often trying to help her cousins out whether they want it or not.
Like Violet, she’s conscious about her appearance and usually tries to dress in a way that’s both practical and shows off her body, typically by wearing form-fitting athletic clothes that highlight her lean frame and long legs. She doesn’t necessarily do it in a flirty manner, but rather she wants to show off how athletic she is since she’s proud of her fitness.
