You Really Take the [Cup]Cake (@Athena)
Claude was in a much better mood coming into the Intelligence Sphere's kitchen this time around. He was even wearing casual clothes, look at that!
"Helloooo!~ You in, Athena?"
Not waiting for an invitation, he sat down anyway.
"My battery is not holding its charge as it should," Athena told Morality without further prompting. There was some minor stress in her voice, but that was due to the state of her kitchen instead of the battery issues. "A meeting with Claude had already been arranged tomorrow for the regular system scan, so I saw no harm in postponing the replacement until then. Are you alright?"
She looked even more worried! Of course she did wrinkle her brow at the RM’s mention, but the focus was mostly on Athena.
Sounded serious, really. But, Claude does alright.. usually.
Her hands were given a look, the skin lacking it’s usual smooth appearance, touch and, was a touch bubbled in some spots. She shrugged, minor problem!
The problem was Athena falling ‘asleep’ while cooking. What if things caught fire? .. She reached over the stove, careful to not burn herself on the hot surface, and unplugged it. The cord was waved at the other woman with a stern head shake.
It took longer than a normal android would take for Athena to stir. Granted, a good part of that was just her system being unused to these programs and taking time to find and execute them. The very moment she was functional enough to process things clearly, though, Athena was practically leaping from her chair to help with the disastor.
Morality stepped aside once Athena came, it was her area and she probably knew more about kitchen issues than anyone else.
She did turn the faucet on for her though, figuring it might be needed (and let the cool run on a hand). Once things calmed and the stove was off, she attempted to pry for answers by moving a few strands of the other’s hair for attention. Morality was mostly worried it looked like.
The first thing that could be noticed upon walking into Athena's kitchen was the thick waft of smoke. The second would be the pot of some concoction that was bubbling and burning on the stovetop, and clearly the source of the smoke. Athena? Well, for the first time since Morality and her had gotten together, she was actually in the midst of a sleepmode, having fallen asleep with a book in a nearby chair when waiting for the attempted recipe to settle.
That was, different. And unsettling if anything else! Perhaps a little cute as well. No time to admire, or question why and how. Morality ran to the chair, giving the sleeping android a light shake before focusing on the kitchen, rushing over to pull the pot off the stove.
Confusion.. and pain because that was hot! She struggled out a sigh.
It had a been a few days since she came back online, with the help of the reassembly machine thankfully. The last one bits of memory were still clouded, but Frick, overheating, and a giant bird were still prevalent enough. She only had the last half hour or so altered, unfortunately, leaving everything Frick did intact.
Rude.
Just, rude.
She had to wonder if that giant bird actually found Athena, or if GLaDOS directed it. Honestly she wouldn't be surprised if the giant bird wasn't even a thing anymore.. being a giant bird and all.
Not her problem, though.
Maybe Athena could answer those questions she figured. She wanted to know, and there wasn't much else to be done really. There was also the bit about wondering where that man was, if he came back yet or not. Hopefully he tripped and fell into a bottomless pit. .. Probably shouldn't think like that. He would be better off alive to answer for his crimes.
Deciding to go ahead, she knocked on Athena's door and took a step back in wait.
