I had a fun time attending to the most memorable event that I ever imagine. It is the Ragnarok Festival everyone. This was happened last May 7, 2017 at the SM North Edsa Annex, Quezon City, Philippines. When I heard the news that Ragnarok will return once again, my reaction has an overflowing joy into my emotions. This is great. The celebration makes us all unite as one – long time fans, gamers, and enthusiasts for all ages.
When I enter at the event. I was so overwhelmed because seeing those old gamers reunited again, old guilds clashed once more and listening to those attendees reminiscing their memories about the game. So all attendees registered at the registration booth to get some freebies and good stuffs from the event. On the other hand, a photo booth is up for those people who wants to take a shot from these cute characters from the game in which I didn’t had a chance taking a group photo with these guys. Entries from the fanart contests exhibited by the event also. When you saw those fanarts, you’ll know that your nostalgia is in your head right now. Overall, those entries were great for me. Seeing its artwork is very priceless for me. They are all winners to me as I would say.
The event starts with an intermission number for the Ragnarok girls. They’re pretty looking good dancing along onstage if you ask me but yep. Good job girls. This was hosted by the amazing Betong, Arianne Bautista and shoutcaster Riku. What a great hosting to these three though. They also tell their stories during their Ragnarok days on the past together with some resurgence old gamers who are joining in the celebration also. Well if you asked me on whats my story? It would be the time when I play this game when I was in grade school last 2003 apparently and I play this game for about 2 years too. I also collect loading cards whenever I want to purchase some credits to the game but unfortunately, I lost them. I mean I lost its track from putting in a place that I don’t remember now. But overall, this game is memorable to me and I’m looking forward to play it again once more.
Een Mercado and Gloco from Gloco Gaming also joins the party as the community hosts of the festival. They lead the pizza eating contest throughout the event. I wish I was the one eating that pizza right there because at that time, I’m so hungry and I need food from my tummy because that pizza looks delicious to me.
Ragnarok models such as the Priest, Archbishop, Assassin, etc. were also one of the highlights of the event. They are so pretty and their outfits are on fire. They put a lot of effort just to portray it to everyone which is nice to me. So to these girls, thumbs up to each and every one of you.
And yes. I think Ragnarok would be your next crush in online gaming though.
There’s also a press conference for the media and all the attendees of the event. As they witness the speakers led by Kitamura Yoshinori from Gravity Co. Ltd. Rithirong Kaewvicheara from Electronics Extreme and Johnny Paek from Elite Global Sourcing Inc. They’ll ensure that they will provide their best service for their fellow gamers. As they tied up for this launch, I hope the game will be successful if we all stand and unite together, Ragnarok will maintain in the industry.
The segment of designing their RO headgear wowed me so much. I mean they are so creative. They did a good job as many efforts as possible. So kudos to each and every one of them. Followed by cosplay performances from different Ragnarok characters. Cosplayers will never give up portraying their best personality onstage. Popular bands such as Imago and Sandwich were also joining in the party as they jam along with the gamers throughout the event. Seeing these highlights are worth it for me.
I am so honored that I am a part of this celebration though. Witnessing this event is priceless like I said earlier. But this launch is just the beginning. There would be more moments for me to be encountered in-game. Or maybe even not in-game but on some of the community events from Ragnarok is fine for me. Again, Congratulations Ragnarok Team and let’s hope for the best of its game.
