What an exciting morning! We got to see an Elegant Trogon in Mesa today! 😯 I was able to get a shot through the window before she flew off. 😀 When looking in Arizona, Elegant Trogons are usually found in SE Arizona. Many birders travel to this region every year just to see one in person. I have only seen one many years ago and that was only for about 40 seconds before it flew off. To see one in Mesa and so close was absolutely amazing! I hope she finds her way back to her natural habitat before it gets too warm!
