Best op shops in wellington city? Mostly interested in cheap vinyl records, books and home decory items, but could be interested in clothes also

I didn't even know it was on until yesterday -_- where tf were they advertising it
they kind of didn’t???? I was lucky that I literally stopped in my tracks when I saw a flyer a few weeks ago and went back to check the dates on it because I was sure I had missed it. I kind of have a personal mission to keep tabs on musical theatre in Wellington because it’s so scarce, but yeah, it was light on the publicity (but the theatre only seated 40 so I guess maybe that has something to do with it?)
elemeno-pee replied to your post:friendly reminder not to use the term “developing...
Y
it implies that they are under-developed because they aren’t like the west, and that their problems such as poverty etc stem from them not “developing” into a more westernised model, eg capitalism and that to be a “properly developed” country they must sacrifice what is important and what works for their people
It’s usually an economics based discussion though so it doesn’t cover all the bases and there’s apparently no PERFECT way of saying it although the substitute is Third World which is slightly better than developing or underdeveloped, buttttt i’m not an expert and would love to hear more discussion on it, I just got really irked this morning when a girl was posting on all the “good” she was doing in “developing” countries which is usually a sense of westernised white knight syndrome disguised in “being a good person”
What the FUCK my family also calls the remote a Doo dah button what tfffff I thought it was just them being weird
What the actual fuck I’m practically crying I laughed so hard at this I genuinely didn’t know that was a thing is this like a hidden dialect do our families know each other what’s going on here
Sweet! I don't have orange juice but maybe a lil orange and barley cordial? That's all I got. I read online that pressing it gets that water out so more flavour can get in but idk. I'll give it a go!
mmmm maybe not the juice then, that’s just like an added bonus. i press my haloumi so i guess it’s the same thing, like just squish it a bit btw papertowels before marinading. Yum yum.
