horror genres and what yellowjackets character they align with!!
nat - slasher film 110%. i want to see scream queen nat so badly. not the final girl (…..) but you really think she’ll be. also definitely has a scene where she gets blood splattered all over her face and the crowd goes wild. not the antagonist but is the nonbeliever ‘dude there’s no way this shit could actually happen’ and dies via sacrifice for the hero who has a deep belief for this stuff (weather supernatural or just freaky killers) (also said hero aka who she had a weird situation-ship with…..) there is def a little kid who thinks she’s the coolest and she’s dedicated to protecting (and that goes GREAT.)
lottie - so. i think lottie in an survival/supernatural horror would be SUPER sick. or even better a supernatural survival but like. way way more amped than yellowjackets canon is. like she’s trying to do her best to deal with the creatures but in reality it’s just the humans that she really has to worry about (think that one scene from tlou) she’s not scared of the creatures but of her own kind. the creatures end up helping her survive and all that. best friend/love interest will die in front of her and send her into a spiral. what that spiral means is up to you
tai - found footage horror, the skeptic. was dragged into it by some friends and by the end of it she’s the only one who makes it out, staggering out of the woods covered in mud and dirt (and blood!!) spends the rest of her life trying to burry it as deep as possible! it’s be cool to see an sort of found footage documentary, yk? like cuts from an adult tai begrudgingly doing this doc and cuts to a shaky camera with young tai’s annoyed face and a ‘are we done yet? this is so stupid.’
van - comedy slasher film, kind of like scream tbh? like it’s crazy gory but it also has a LOT of laughs. there for the back-to-back of a laughing cute scene and then bam. decapitation! is def the nerd who knows all about it (josh from fear street) also prob a big fan of horror so when they find out that their living it….theyre honestly kinda hyped. i think they make it out, but i also think that they then get brutally, brutally killed in the first 10 mins of the sequel. (their last words are a joke.) (also. the gayest horror movie you’ll ever see. it’s so gay.)
jackie - ……elemental horror. like. in the woods or a snowstorm (idk the actual name) i don’t really need to elaborate here it just makes sense and i think it’s funny. she def has a line at some point making jest to ‘not doing well out here’ basically keep her in yellowjackets just take away the supernatural lol
shauna - body horror. i think shauna would be so well suited for saw or any other kind of physical creepy shit. weather she’s the one behind it or the victim it makes a lot of sense imo
misty - 100% psychological horror. except she’s the one who’s fucking with someone mentally. think hallucinations or weird sounds, making them think it’s all in their head but it’s really not.
laura lee - religious horror. it’s kind of a cop out but it really does make sense. especially that trope of ‘desperately praying to god only to realize that it was gods plan all along’
