I think a lot of people don’t see the potential volatility in Guinivere’s retainers, at least post-canon. Hell, I’d probably argue the first signs of it were when she escaped with Elen and left Melady behind. Melady was pissed off at first, rightfully so, but then calmed down when Guinivere told her her reasons for defecting. Even Melady seemed completely chill about Elen protecting Guinivere when she wasn’t around.

And then comes Zeiss. Hoo boy. He gets framed for something he didn’t do, and then finds out Melady defected. He then proceeds to call her a traitor, and then Melady gets super heated about him calling Guinivere an obstinate princess (in his words, not mine). Zeiss is the most skeptical one out of the bunch (and for good reason). Also, these two have an underrated sibling dynamic. One is blindingly loyal to Guinivere, while one needs to see that conviction in order to trust her. There’s angst potential between them (we’ll get to that later). Leaving behind someone. I’m sensing a pattern here.

Fast forward to post-canon. Guinivere becomes queen, her retainers become Wyvern Generals (or that’s what I like to think), yadda yadda. At this point, everyone is branded a traitor. There’s definitely lots of people that hate them for betraying Bern only to come back and act like they’ve always been loyal.

Let’s consider the possibility that everything goes downhill for Guinivere. Considering her family’s track record, it’s… 😬. Probably had a major crash out as well. All the more reason to hate her if you’re her biggest hater in Bern. You know who’s her biggest fan? Melady! Which is a good thing… and bad thing.

At this point, Melady is Guinivere’s lapdog. She’d do anything and everything in her name. Zeiss on the other hand? He’d be absolutely furious at those two. Guinivere for going back on her word and making Melady turn out like that, and Melady for doing whatever horrible thing Guinivere ordered her to do. Elen gets caught in the crossfire too and the siblings force her to pick a side.

I’d say there’s a 50/50 chance she sides with either of them. If she sides with Melady, there’s potential of Elen worshipping Guinivere like she’s a goddess, considering that Elen is aligned with the St. Elimine Church. Faith and loyalty kind of thing going on with her and Melady respectively. On the other hand, if she sides with Zeiss, there’s potential of her being a priestess with shattered beliefs about Guinivere. Also she feels that Zeiss would need some help taking her down considering they’re childhood friends. Two wyvern riders and one healer, who needs it the most?

You know how Guinivere thought she could convince Zephiel to stop the war? This is Zeiss’s version of that, only except of him convincing Melady to switch sides he straight up says he’s her enemy now. He would probably go even further and denounce their sibling relationship. “What. Sister?” type of thing. That support conversation where he wants to get stronger to protect Melady? Yep, that’s thrown out the window when Melady reveals her true colors. And now he has to use that strength to kill her. The potential sibling angst with opposing beliefs is off the charts I fear. I guess Bernese siblings are just like that.

I didn’t think it would get this long and feel super fanficcy lol, I like these four a lot. TLDR they’d be much more interesting (and have more fans outside of gameplay) if they were like Elincia and her retainers but more fucked up.

1. He has a purple heart birthmark on his forehead that's usually covered by his hair.

2. His acting may be shoddy, but he's got a talent for stage direction.

3. He's afraid of needles.

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

Finn bites things when he's stressed or nervous. More than once he's worried over homework before being jumpscared by a sudden taste of ink as he realises he's cronched his pen with his teeth (at least it wasn't the magestone)

When Finn listens to music he really likes, he rocks from side to side on his feet (on land ofc) and it can look a bit ridiculous sometimes. In the water, his tail swishes back and forth. It only becomes actual dancing very rarely.

Finn hums to himself when he's thinking hard about something. To anyone else, it's an unplacable tune that he probably made up. However, it's actually the tune of Morrigan's songs from his tape player.

Finn is very inquisitive and got his love of learning new things from both his parents. He's always delighted to gain new knowledge and share it with people he likes. He's generally open-minded, but when it comes to things like his siblings, he'll dig his heels in like crazy.

Nope! Morrigan very rarely gets sick, and when he does, it's not very good at all, and Silas gets very worried ajsmsndndn. Luckily, it's not an issue they had to worry about often.

Elen the goddess of the ways. I was talking to my mom about the many trails our dogs had made in the backyard, and she told me about a goddess who is about the natural trails animals make in the wild. She sounded interesting to draw, so here she is! The lines in the background are ment to be what my dogs trails look like!
