The next installment of Crystal Valley families is the Lopez Family!

Formatting will be slightly different, since despite being one of the first families of Crystal Valley, they were one of my later recreations! As such, I did tweak the format of how I got their pictures, so each family member has their own individual headshot. Family Description:

The Lopez family has always been an eccentric bunch, especially when it comes to business ventures. Will they find sweet success or miserable failure in Crystal Valley?

HEADCANONS

First Headcanon, Elena was born and raised in Inglewood, California but her parents always traveled to Lima Heights, Ohia to visit her abuela on her mom’s side and Santana. While growing up she learned mechanical work from her dad who owned a ship of his own but her true passion was always dancing. Her mom enrolled her for ballet classes when she was just a little girl and she was in her high school dance team. Elena loved all types of dancing and she continued to practice to become a professional dancer when she grew up. After Elena graduated high school, she left for New York to follow her dreams but didn’t know how hard life would really be.

Second Headcanon, Elena has been living in The Bronx, New York for four years and yet she still hasn’t caught her big break. She is living with a roommate and has two jobs just to pay for her life expenses and helping her parents out. She used to volunteer at Bronx Dance Academy after school program but that changed when she was out dancing, along with a few friends, in the subway. Elena was too engrossed in her dancing that she didn’t noticed someone behind her and completely clashed into her. When Elena saw it was no one other than Brittany S Lopez Pierce, she freaked. She was a huge fan of her and admire the blonde for all her accomplishments. She wanted to join her dance studio but was not able since she wasn’t able to afford it.

Third Headcanon, After their encounter Brittany was kind enough to let Elena work for her and pay for her classes with the job she did around the studio. She was grateful for her cousins’ wife. Even more so that this would mean she would get to reconnect with her cousin more. Elena not only works at the Last Dance Step as Brittany assistant but does side job in baby sitting and works half time in Fix It as a mechanic.

Fourth Headcanon. Elena is a huge zodiac enthusiastic, has been ever since her abuelita told her she had a gift of seeing people’s auras and knowing how people really are before actually meeting them. Her mom always said that she was crazy, but Elena thought that maybe it was because all married woman didn’t like their mothers-in-laws. Elena, however, believes her abuela on her father’s side has the gift and feels like she might have it as well.

CONNECTIONS

PARENTS: Natalia and Alberto Lopez- Elena’s parents have always been supportive of dreams of becoming a professional dancer. They never once felt like it was silly or tried to have her change her mind. They loved to be there for her in all her school’s performances and would cheer her on. She wouldn’t be the dancer and woman she is today without the support of her family. Her dad’s shop isn’t doing too good for business, which was why she works extra hard to make sure to send them some money every here and then. They were a stubborn couple who never wanted to ask for help, just like she was, but she was damned if she didn’t help them like they’ve helped her.

SIBLINGS/OTHER IMPORTANT FAMILY: Santana and Brittany Lopez-Pierce- While growing up, Elena, always admired her cousin for her strong personality and her kind heart of caring for her family. They were close while growing up but grew apart due to the distance. When Elena was in New York she was too busy getting her life settled and trying to keep a job that she didn’t have time to visit her cousin. She sent her messages here and there and congratulated on her success but it wasn’t the same. Now that she is working for Brittany, she’s excited to get back in touch with her cousin. Elena will forever be grateful to Brittany for giving her the opportunity to learn more from talented dancers as herself.

BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND: Elena is in love with love. When she meets someone, she falls hard and fast which has always left her heartbreak. Elena knows it is a vicious cycle that she needs to break free from but can’t help it. She is a hopeless romantic and wants a love like her parents have.

CLOSE FRIEND: Juliette Fabray: Elena and Jules met at a local Daycare, usually Elena only babysat for people and not actual daycares. However, the last parent she helped, had recommended her the place and wanted Elena to have a look at it. Which Elena did and loved every second of it, she met a lot of great people one of them being Juliette. It was not just work for her it was like hanging out with an old friend while watching a few children. Since then Elena has considered Jules a close friend and has loved spending time learning new things about the blonde.
