It’s a bit strange seeing all of the parasocial relationships that people have formed with Jamie Bower from Stranger Things. It’s almost like the relationship people form with Adult stars and Cam Girls I know mixed with the toxicity that the One Direction fandom used to have around Harry Styles. Like they own him and he owes them a part of his personal life.

I like the character he plays, how strong of an actor he is and his voice seems to reduce my migraines and shoulder pain, Simple as that. While he does remind me of my the type of people I socialize with, the venn diyagram of Punk/Kink/Performers/Crew in the Arts is literally just a circle which I also fit into.

I don’t care about his relationship, and have been in similar public facing, hate train relationships in the past which makes me empathize with them both and wish them nothing but the best.

Like honestly I hate when I’m scrolling through different feeds and see obsessive people hating on his girlfriend, acting like they know him personally. An artist who goes after those who create parasocial relationships like the ones created by his fans are predators with a craving for power and control over someone who idolizes them. I’m so glad he does not appear to do that but, some of y’all need to chill out, maybe see a therapist, find a similar partner, literally just stop acting like you own him and he owes you anything. Fantasize all you want but, stop projecting.

It makes me super uncomfortable and I can’t be the only one.

That’s my rant because seeing all the parasocialness has been driving me crazy when I just want to disassociate to his videos, GIFS, etc. Enjoy the season 4 GIF and remember public figures are human too. ❤️

People calling Elena Taber problematic essentially just for being a rich kid is hilarious because Jamie is literally from an upper class background… like he is related to royalty, his 4x great grandfather was Sir John Campbell, his cousins are the fucking Habsburgs for gods sake

This blog is growing for a reason. More and more people start to appreciate the fact their opinion does not get attacked all over the place. More and more people start to really (see) the mess. I think jamie drinks again, how do we explain he did not celebrate his sobriety last year, like he allways used to do so proudly before? For me that was a silent form of admitting the rumors are indeed true and he is not sober annymore. I think he is affraid to dissapoint people. But at this point he allready did dissapoint a lot of fans in so many ways...

I now a lot of folks who allready left the fandom and the numbers still rise up every weak, i can not even blame the ones who leave honestly. And honestly i recently got the ick from him myself.

All those things he did, how he went from talented artist to try to sell himself as a sex and lust symbol for young teens while he is a man of 37. (The quinn thing is a good example) How he treats fans about their comissions and promises new projects while when the time is there he goes on hollidays and ignores his own promises. Than the fact he is blocking fans who dare to dissagree and hold another opinion. His endless list of exes, who all seems to dissapear in silence one by one and fade away, how come... him preaching about talking about your problems and face them, while he himself does the opposite, and hide behind another women, again... how he suddenly acts like a high school dude, smoking like a chimney, laughing like he is high all the time. He appears at several locations where there is much alcohol around, for example (i never saw an apres-ski without alcohol) Treats women like they do not last any longer than a cellphone, just a couple of years, then we get ourselves a new one. And the fact he still ads womens private accounts while he has a women. That's just insane. The man i once admired seems more lost than ever. I think elena believes she can fix him but she can not, only he can do that. It all gives me weird vibes and the understanding that probably no one of us truly had any idea who the hell this man is. I whitness all of this madness, yust as many onthers, but my eyes are wide open new. One day the truth will come out.

First, thank you so much for your support.

I try as much as I can to share the maximum number of anons. I like to read each one of them carefully and reply with my personal opinion.

Even if I don't agree, I always try to bring a safe place and a careful way to express my thoughts. I make mistakes sometimes, of course.

I think we should all start to see Jamie's career and life from a different persepctive, as you said.

I know it's not easy to feel disappointed and to express this feeling is even harder, but hiding behind the courtains and pretend everything is fine is a terrible mistake.

There're so many evidences that Jamie is back to drink again, unfortunately, but several fans refuse to admit it.

Jamie doesn't know the amount of responsability he has sharing to the world his addiction path.

God knows how many fans were inspired by him, since Counterfeit, to get sober or to look for help in any other form of mental issues.

The fact that he promised new material in public and doesn't make it, and don't apologize for it, makes the whole situation even worse.

He is a recurrent content in every week Elena's stories or post.

She posts more about Jamie than herself or her sister.

I don't think he's aware of how dangerous this can be to his career.

She is overexposing him a lot. And, of course, the fanatic fandom applauses it.

She has already exposed his apartment, their cabin vacation and now his living room.

He was partying in a fancy restaurant full of drunk people.

We know how Jamie hates crowed venues. He didn't attend Ann Deulemeester after party last year. He went to Elena's apartment.

All I can say is that we don't have to give up on Jamie.

But apllauding everything as a big circle, isn't a real fan attitude.

So before I rant, just want to say I have been a fan of Jamie’s for over a decade. Even had an unbiased insta during a time when everyone was hating on a girlfriend that wasn’t Lily during that first break up. Nor do I care for or support Elena, to me she’s just whatever.

Anyway, so I recently found out that on an Elena subreddit, I think it’s the hub one, someone posted Elena’s tax records and claim they found where she lives. But somehow they think it’s okay as the name and info are crossed out. There’s also a picture of some cars that may be Jamie and hers or her parents. The fact that people find it’s okay just because they are public figures says a lot. Being a public figure is not an open doorway for online harassment and stalking. And yes these people are stalking even if they deny it. If you are constantly looking for where she is, what brands she’s endorsing, and so on is grounds of online stalking.

These people have gone far and now there’s a new low. Because apparently it wasn’t enough of them to comment or message Jamie’s mother, who is not a public figure and a private person, to ‘warn her about Elena’. Elena Taber is honestly not really any different than Jamie’s past relationships. Yeah she’s a nepo baby, but so is Lily (literally her father is Phil Collins) and even Jamie himself. She’s a model and not the first model girlfriend he’s had. Yeah she’s done questionable and bad things like the 9/11 fit check and Reddit. However, Jamie isn’t a saint either. They are both flawed humans and that is okay as they aren’t the worst people in the world. Yeah she’s cringey but seriously who cares as most influencers are. Don’t like her simply block and move on.

The fact these people think that because they are anonymous it means they won’t get caught. People have been sued for less and you leaving an online presence to be tracked can be traced back to you even if it’s a burner account. There’s always a link. People did not have to warn Jamie’s mother about Elena. Nor do they have to bother brands who have literally endorsed worse and more influential people. Seriously they didn’t bat an eye when Kylie endorsed Meta glasses but you gave Elena crap for the same thing. Elena is a small influencer. These people are constantly trying to ruin her life simply because they don’t like who Jamie is dating. Which that in itself is a tale as old as time when Jamie gets a new girlfriend. They constantly defamation her by saying she’s an alcoholic and everything else. If people are blocked by them, then those people are the problem. It is getting very concerning from a fan POV of how some people are being about her.

Again, don’t like her simply stop following her and block her. Don’t engage with her content then.
