I just want Celeborn's entrance to be something like "Sorry it took me so long, the line at the store was eternal and-what the f.....!!!
Golden Rays in Moonlight snippet.
Full chapters on AO3 linked below.
The woods are awfully quiet. Difficult to say whether it was a peaceful quiet or a cause for concern. Galadriel hoped for the latter. A nice reprieve from the days of fighting would be welcome. The long trek of war and battles was both an honor and something she wished was not necessary. Peace is a dream she always strived for. But those visions…. Visions of darkness. Death. The Eye. Sauron himself. How could one who knows more pretend everything is fine?
She never understood that from some of her elven kin. Sometimes in the company of her troop, the Northern Commander felt alone, as she could tell they were battle-worn with very little results. No location of Sauron for days since he infiltrated the border of their camp. Using Celeborn’s face telling the proper excuse of why he was with her instead of with the other half of their party, as agreed. Elrond took his place as he heard word of new allies of the Dark Lord. This was not untrue, as Celeborn himself saw dark knights riding in the forests, feeling evil from them. An orc party ambushed them in the middle of last night. Four lives were added to the death toll of the orcs' bloodthirst. It felt like every step closer to stopping the great evil, they got further back. Mind games or nightmares nearly every time she rests. Him creeping in her mind every night…
Wanting a little solitude, Galadriel remembers the river they had passed that was about a two-hour walk. The bath at camp was not bad, but she needed some time with the more peaceful parts of Middle-Earth. Thankfully, all she needed to take with her was some honeyed soap and a towel. On her way off the unbeaten path other than animals, Galadriel finally finds a nice pool of water. Taking a look around, she starts to take off her armor when she notices no one around. The scenery of this little hidden wonder amused her and reminded her why she was fighting. Life. Nice mossy rocks where a little bird was perching. The sounds of rushing water and some frogs jumping out. A… a very wide-eyed clam who was distinctly behind some brush. Galadriel was not fully undressed and still wore her white robes. But the pink on Celeborn’s ears and cheeks told her he was as naked as the day he was born.
“I…I thought you were back at camp.” She asked her husband.
Even though it was Celeborn. It never stopped to amaze her how beautiful he was. Even if he was covered in orc blood and grime of battle. How she missed seeing those light eyes of his that reminded her of the sea. His pale hair tied up with his own hair, highlighting his handsome, sharp features. Looking no different than the Elven statues of old. Strong shoulders that she once rubbed when he would spend days buried in scrolls and books during peaceful times. Lips that would steal her breath away with either sweet words or an embrace. Though the brush hid him well, everything about her husband was both beautiful and impressive.
Celeborn clears his throat. “I could say the same to you.”
He missed her dearly, but he’s been giving her space when she wants it. There when she needed him as she did. But the whole thing with the Dark Lord, Halbrand, and whatever names Sauron went on was conflicting. There was a little tension since Galadriel told him immediately that Sauron used his face in his torments to steal a kiss from her. Since then, Galadriel has been a little hesitant around his touch, when she was always open. Whenever he tried to get closer, she put a respectful space between them. Since it happened, Celeborn only gave her kisses on her forehead or hands after asking for permission. The violation of his beloved in that manner infuriated the Elvish Lord, as he had never seen her so shaken. Galadriel wept in his arms after some of those sights the dark lord gave her.
His heart could never blame Galadriel. Ever. Not even when he had kin telling him he should never marry her, as she was tainted. Or how they wrongly accused her of murder. How could light be tainted? That is where the Dark Lord fails to see. Galadriel’s will and strength are stronger. “Lo.. my lady, if you want privacy I can come back-“
“You never needed to do formalities with me.” Galadriel strides closer to the brush.
Honestly, with how much he’s blushing, it felt like he was no older than 1,500. ‘Pull yourself together, Celeborn.’ He thinks to himself. Though whenever it came to Galadriel, sometimes it was hard to focus. So long he spent looking for her. “Forgive me.”
Celeborn looks softly at her and sees the weight of sadness his wife’s eyes carry. “Cáma (My light), what is it?”
She smiles a little painfully, but happier than he was in front of her. “It has been too long since I last saw all of you. You never cease to amaze me.”
Celeborn lightly laughs at how she missed that sound. “And remind me, when was the last time you saw me concealing myself behind a brush?”
“Brush no, fine transparent silks yes.” She’s a breath away from him. “You are a sight I never tire from.” Celeborn tries to kiss her, but she stops him. Images of when Sauron used her husband’s form to twist and manipulate her. He never got as far as heavy kissing, but it felt horrible to her when she realized the truth: she was deceived. Deceived by the man who constantly gropes her mind, and she tries hard ot keep the door shut from his invasions. Why must he torment her solely? It’s a heavy guilt Galadriel felt, even though Celeborn kept assuring her it’s not her fault. How many images did Sauron play to twist his mind, she wondered. “I’m sorry.”
“Avo dhortho, veleth nîn (Do not apologize, my love). I am sorry I was not with you sooner.” His sweet words may not completely soothe her troubles, but it puts a balm over her troubles for the moment.
“That was not in your control.” Galadriel comments.
“And neither is what troubles you most. I know your heart better than most. I know you, nîn(my) Galadriel.” Celeborn softly brings her hand up and kisses her worn knuckles.
Galadriel smiles at his softness. That is how she was able to tell the difference when Sauron tried to worm his way into her mind. He may be stern and sometimes cunning on the battlefield, but he was always soft-spoken with her. “Ollol as nîn, hervenn.(Bathe with me, husband).” She responds back in his language in perfect dialect.
“If that is what my lady wishes.”
“I received a wish I thought impossible recently.” Galadriel slides the last of her garments off her body. Her paler body and yellow hair contrast nicely in the moon glow. Even in this light, she looked like the brightest sun to Celeborn.
“Your beauty never diminishes.”
Her cheeks flush a little. It wasn’t unusual for people to comment about her beauty. But it felt more meaningful and poetic from the prince that danced into her heart. She takes his hand to lead him to the pool of water, with him grabbing soap he brought along as she practically drags him. “How did you find this place?”
“On a patrol a few days ago. Despite how you found me, I was going to tell you about it when I got back. Did not have the time for an earlier opportunity before the ambushes and a petty squabble with some of the men.”
She was glad Celeborn was around once again with her in battle. Dealing with her troop alone was not always difficult, but there were times Galadriel wished she could share the burden as she once did long before her husband was missing. He often kept morale up even if others questioned her. On rare occasion, he was the voice of reason for the troop to his wife. Especially when the wounds of her brother’s death were fresh. He cannot picture the pain she went through with his absence in that regard… The fall of Doriath still haunts him to this day, but it nearly pales in comparison to the separation from his beloved.
“I quite like how I found you.” She cheekily smiles as she steps into the pool of water, with him helping her. He catches her when she nearly slips on a wet rock. “Thank you.”
He nods at her. “You’re welcome.” He smiles at a little memory. Once Galadriel sprained her ankle, and she couldn’t walk for a day. If he recalls right, it was from when she was running in a field and tripped over a large rock. Then she never wore that dress again. Shame really, as the pale lavender color suited her well. “Of course, it would not be the first time I’ve had to carry you to camp.”
She gets in the cool water and eases him into it so he would not slip on that same rock. “You have done that a few times.”
Galadriel bathes her intimate areas first, and is a bit surprised her husband turns his back to her momentarily to give her privacy. Once she was done, she passed the soap to him as she wades in the water. Hearing birds sing within the trees, feels the mud and smooth pebbles underneath her feet. The winds started to pick up, sending in a cool breeze. The cool water soothed what little aches she had. Taking a moment, several moments, admiring her husband’s form. It still feels surreal to her that Celeborn was back, but it confused her at times how he was not angry with her. Not that he was ever really a temperamental elf, other than with Dwarves, which she scolded him for. There was like this dark pit in her. She felt vile and disgusted with herself at being manipulated by Sauron. As well, believing him to be dead when he never lost faith in finding her. She hated feeling hot and cold with her husband of all people.
“You’re cutting the water with daggers.” His soft voice brings her back from overthinking. He was lathering himself up in soap. “Can I wash you?” She asks.
“Only if you talk with me.” She tries to say something, but sees he wants to say more. “Please, my lady, it pains me to see you blame yourself and treat me as a spirit. I am here. We never dismissed our problems before, no matter how big or small they were. That is not how we work.”
It pains him to see her blaming herself, as much as he blames himself for his own responsibilities that led to capture, and he knows Sauron got some details from him to further his manipulation of his wife. Only one person to blame, and the Dark Lord was far in the Southlands. There was never this silence between them until the Dark Lord kissed her.
He was right. That's partially why they always worked; he grounded her even in troubled storms. She too was tired of dancing around this for weeks, but her shame made her hesitant. Even washing off the orc blood from his sculpted body, despite resting next to him last night, felt like a dream she did not want to wake up only to find him gone. It was surreal to see him next to her meditating. But touching him like this was both similar and questionable. That illusion of Celeborn haunts her, along with the other one the Dark Lord likes to play. Join him, or he dies. How dare he use what is hers and has given her joy in the darkest times of her life? Taking him away as they were only starting their travels and goals. Centuries lost that neither can have back.
She cups some water and washes his pale hair. Cleansing the soft long hair from the black blood of orcs he’s slain earlier. “I loathe this feeling.”
“And what feeling is that?”

So before I rant, just want to say I have been a fan of Jamie’s for over a decade. Even had an unbiased insta during a time when everyone was hating on a girlfriend that wasn’t Lily during that first break up. Nor do I care for or support Elena, to me she’s just whatever.
Anyway, so I recently found out that on an Elena subreddit, I think it’s the hub one, someone posted Elena’s tax records and claim they found where she lives. But somehow they think it’s okay as the name and info are crossed out. There’s also a picture of some cars that may be Jamie and hers or her parents. The fact that people find it’s okay just because they are public figures says a lot. Being a public figure is not an open doorway for online harassment and stalking. And yes these people are stalking even if they deny it. If you are constantly looking for where she is, what brands she’s endorsing, and so on is grounds of online stalking.
These people have gone far and now there’s a new low. Because apparently it wasn’t enough of them to comment or message Jamie’s mother, who is not a public figure and a private person, to ‘warn her about Elena’. Elena Taber is honestly not really any different than Jamie’s past relationships. Yeah she’s a nepo baby, but so is Lily (literally her father is Phil Collins) and even Jamie himself. She’s a model and not the first model girlfriend he’s had. Yeah she’s done questionable and bad things like the 9/11 fit check and Reddit. However, Jamie isn’t a saint either. They are both flawed humans and that is okay as they aren’t the worst people in the world. Yeah she’s cringey but seriously who cares as most influencers are. Don’t like her simply block and move on.
The fact these people think that because they are anonymous it means they won’t get caught. People have been sued for less and you leaving an online presence to be tracked can be traced back to you even if it’s a burner account. There’s always a link. People did not have to warn Jamie’s mother about Elena. Nor do they have to bother brands who have literally endorsed worse and more influential people. Seriously they didn’t bat an eye when Kylie endorsed Meta glasses but you gave Elena crap for the same thing. Elena is a small influencer. These people are constantly trying to ruin her life simply because they don’t like who Jamie is dating. Which that in itself is a tale as old as time when Jamie gets a new girlfriend. They constantly defamation her by saying she’s an alcoholic and everything else. If people are blocked by them, then those people are the problem. It is getting very concerning from a fan POV of how some people are being about her.
Again, don’t like her simply stop following her and block her. Don’t engage with her content then.

Finally, they got to the lake surrounded by the mountains. Even from the hill they were on, they could see numerous tents around the water. People are panning for silver in the water to try to find their potential wealth. Some even dig for it. Some horses that were part of wagons took a swim or had a well-deserved drink. Some kids were even swimming in the water. Others were stocking up on water. Either way, just about everyone was away from their tents.
Caleb makes a few turns and settles on a clearing before he dismounts from the deep brown horse. “C’mere.” He holds on to his wife’s hips to help her off the saddle. Then he guides Roach to a fir tree to tie him there while they set up camp.
Bridget comes over to give Roach a few good pets along his snout as Caelb works on unloading some of their camping supplies from the saddlebags and Bridget’s satchel. His satchel was on her back as it was bigger. If he had carried it on his back, it would have knocked her off. “Aren’t youse a handsome fella?” She coos at the horse with heterochromia, loving that one blue eye. He also had a round circle on his forehead. His mane was a deep black, and he had a braided tail that she put on him before they left for their wedding.
“Thank you.” Caleb smirks as she kisses Roach’s snout.
“Ye ain’t so bad. Definitely more handsome than my first husband.”
Not like Caleb did not know she was married before they got hitched. Bridget hardly spoke of him, and well, it didn’t really interest him that much. The man was dead, and she howled out a Sykes name. Not whatever clan that guy came from. However, there were a few things he was curious about.
“Who was bigger?” Caleb gets two decent-length, skinny logs to serve as the posts for their tent. The back would be a little shorter, but still enough to cover them for the night against potential heavy wind and rain, or fucking hail.
Bridget tilts her head, making sure the heat is not getting to her. “What?” She gets the hemp duck cloth Caleb set aside and walks over to where the tent will be. She grabs an end of the hemp duck cloth. Caleb grabs the other end.
Once they have both ends, they toss it up to get it over and pull gently down. “You heard me.” He smirked.
He could not see the look on her face, but it was something. Can’t believe she’s having this conversation with him. Out of all the things to pass small talk. “Can I ask why the curiosity? You always ask a lady what size her past lovers were. Special interest?” She grabs one of the pegs to put in the corner and hammers it with a rock.
Blue eyes roll as Caleb shakes his head while hammering a peg in. “I made women widows. I’ve never actually been with a real one- that I know of.” He then goes to the next one. “You seemed really eager for my cock the first time you spread those fine legs for me, darlin’.”
She’s a bit speechless as well; he wasn’t wrong. God, the few American men Bridget fucked were eh. Hardly knew how to please a woman properly. But, Lord, it was fun to make a Christian man sin. Personally, she preferred the handful of women she’s been with since being in the country more than the men before Caleb. At least Caleb knew how to toss a girl and wreck a woman while also giving good oral. He was rough, and she liked that, but there were times he could be such a tender and attentive lover. It was rare, but honestly, Bridget felt it just made it more special as someone who prefers a bit more than dull positions. Or times when she took charge.
“You got better technique.” He’d have a fit if she said her husband was slightly girthier. Kinda got him in the length, but still was not going to risk his ego getting hurt like that. She’d like to enjoy the last part of their honeymoon in peace.
His light brow raises a bit, but a sly grin can’t be helped. “Oh, really?”
“It was fine for a first encounter, but I got bored with Thomas as two years passed.” She admits bluntly while getting some furs and making a bed. “It was arranged, whereas I had more of a choice with youse.” Caleb asking her was not really a typical proposal. It was more of a " don’t stray from him as she was his’ type of request. “You want this life? It’s till death calls you, sweetheart. You’ve been mine, darlin’.” But she made it clear to him before he left, as her dagger poked his belt, he was hers.
She heard her outlaw snort at her response outside the tent. “Hey, if you didn’t want it. An independent gal like you would have made it clear. Besides, why marry a limp-dick that you can order around when one who can match your wild spirit.”
He went around to make sure the tent was down and secure. As an extra precaution for snakes, Caleb put rocks along the edges of the tent to prevent the damn snakes from getting in through the sides. Inside the tent, Bridget was using the extra furs as a blanket and pillows. The pillows were folded-up deer pelts, while the blanket was a grizzly. Once the sides were done, Caleb started to make a campfire for later. Once a decent-sized rock circle was made, he snapped several branches off a tree that had some foliage for kindling. He looks around for some good-sized pieces for the fire for later, preferably small logs. Bridget was all done inside after she brought their personal items. She goes to a tree away from Roach and starts climbing it to get to a higher height. Caleb watches her climb while he enjoys the view of that nice rump of hers as he rolls a cigarette with one hand. He flicks the match along a small stone, and as he lights the cigarette, Bridget reaches a branch that is roughly 15 feet off the ground. She managed to make a pulley system with the branches and some rope, for them to raise and lower it easily. After doing a double check, at least lowered to Caleb’s height, Bridget climbs down the tree.
“When do you want to head down to the lake?” Bridget takes the cigarette Caleb offers her and takes a drag.
Caleb takes the cigarette back as she passes it to him. He blows a few O’s as he answers her. “In a few. I’d rather take a more intimate look at some possible scores. Only seen a few possible ones from the size of the tents and wagons from up ‘ere.”
Looks over to where most people put their tents and makeshift camps from wagons. “The ones over by those large boulders look promising.” She points over to where there’s a wagon by some boulders.
“Maybe.” Caleb stomps out his cigarette, then grabs Roach to give him a drink of the lake. It is going to be one of their last stops to get water before they reach home.
The newlywedded pair walks down the hill they are on and looks around. A couple arguing, having a dispute about wasting time being here on a foolish search for wealth. Probably been since the rumors started. A preacher giving lectures on man’s greed in a loud fashion. Some children are playing with other children who came with their folks to look for silver. Oh, and a travelling a whore who finished up being in a man’s tent as she fixes her fancy dress. Some foreigners are speaking in either Spanish or Mandarin. Even barely a handful of some richer folks under a large tent drinking either coffee or tea.
Caleb ties Roach to a post where other people are tethering their horses. Their saddlebags were empty, as he wouldn’t be surprised if he were not the only criminal here. “God, I love people’s desperation. It smells sweet.”
She takes her dark colored hat off and fans herself as the sun feels warmer down here than up the hill. “How you want to do this?”
“See that lovely young couple over there.” Caleb pulls her close and looks like he’s whispering sweet nothings in her ear. The couple in question was pretty close, and they were a bit younger than them. “That woman got a fine piece of gold around her finger with a nice fat stone.”
“That looks like a nice pearl necklace with a pair of earrings too.”
“Look nicer around your neck…”
A mischievous grin spreads along the Irish woman’s face. “That belt wouldn’t be bad and looks like your size. Especially, with that nice ivory belt buckle.”
“Get the rabbit.” Caleb kisses his wife’s cheek before he goes to speak to the rabbit’s husband. Sneaking a spank on her rear, before parting too far from her.

——————————————————————
One time, she managed to dodge a slap from Mama Sykes after not doing some chores immediately, and Bridget struck her hard. The morning after that, Caleb asked her to marry her before he went on a long trip for a string of crimes with his father and brother. Not even a single day passed after he came back from seven months, they were married at a town hall. Now the newlyweds were in one of the northern towns to have some time to themselves. Bridget goes next door, inside the inn where they will be staying for a night. In the morning, they will camp at St. Mary Lake. Mostly, the rumors of precious metals were ground around there. However, she was more interested in a change of scenery. While Caleb may not understand her paganism, and some of the things she did made him question her sanity at times. He was just grateful she was not a sheepish Christian woman. Like the one Puritan sniveling in the dark corner of the entertainment area surrounded by multiple sins. Gluttony. Lust. Greed. The man with the biggest prideful ego just walked in.
She takes a seat at the bar and asks for water. While ignoring the old rancher eyeing her after hearing her accent. “Keep starin’ and youse eyes may fall out.” The bartender hands her a glass of water.
“C’mon now. Is it a crime to admire a pretty lady? Why you got such pretty eyes. How can a man resist?” The old man with crooked teeth smiles at her.
“Ye can shove that limp cock next door to the lady that pulls a French accent.” Bridget snaps.
“Oooooh, feisty one, aren’t you. Let me buy you a drink?”
“Not even if you were the last man alive.”
The man’s grimey hand, covered in horseshit, grips her arm tightly. He pulls her close. “Now, why don’t you just come up to my room and I show-” He did not even get the chance to finish his sentence when Caleb knocked the light out of him.
Shoving the unconscious fool to the ground before taking his seat. “Two bourbons and dinners.” Caleb’s gravely voice orders. Bridgit scoots her stool closer to her husband. The bartender hands the two bourbons to Caleb, who gave her one. Bridget grins in the glass.
“Ye took a while.”
“Maybe I was curious if you were going to stab the pig.”
“It was getting there.” She kisses his scruffy cheek, then drinks the bourbon. The liquid burns down her throat, but she finishes it. It was awful, but she refuses to waste alcohol. “Blegh, feckin’ hell luv, that’s awful.”
“It was either that or whiskey, doll. And my woman deserves a proper drink.” Icy blue hues glance down at her cleavage, where she hides her money. If he were to guess, there would be about a hundred dollars stuffed in there. “‘Sides, last time I gave you American whiskey, you’d say you curse me. I’m no man of faith and damned either way to hell, but I don’t need nother’ woman making my life a living hell.” Bridget remembers that well. She was cussing up a storm about how it was awful compared to Irish whiskey. Tasted like piss water to her. She did have a private stash back at Caleb’s cabin that she would drink on occasion. She had to hide it from Caleb, as he’d take some quick swigs of it before she hid under a floorboard. Finally, their meals of boiled salt pork with some cornbread came out. It smells as good as it tastes. The salt pork had some cabbage, carrots, onions, and turnips mixed in with spices. The cornbread had some sweet honey on it.
Once their food was settled after watching the gorgeous showgirls perform, the pair went up to their room. Their room was not a bad size, as it had a tub and a good-sized bed. Typically, it was reserved for soldiers and all those higher-ups. The innkeeper couldn’t refuse the money, and Caleb killed his competition last year. Never owe a Sykes money if you can’t pay it back. Your debt will be paid in blood. While Bridget fills the tub up with some water, buckets that were left in the room to fill the tub. It was way too hot in this summer heat for a warm bath. Caleb's fingers work on getting her corset off, and move her raven curls out of the way to kiss her collarbone. Right where he had left a visible mark from last night.
“How much did you get today? Feels like a lot in here, darlin’.” His palm kneads her left breast. Rubbing some of the cash along her tit under her dress. While his other hand grips her hip.
“$80 for my usual and $50 from some young bitch that refused to pay me.” She smirks, feeling a ‘third pistol’ behind her. He snorts in her neck in amusement.
He only saw a glimpse of her pressing her knife to the girl. It made it difficult to finish arranging some business with the sheriff. “That’s my girl.” He sneaks his hand down between her legs, but she closes her thighs tight. “Open them. Now.” His voice growls within that demand. Despite her thighs being close to what he wants, her ass moves against his crotch.
“If ye want my mouth on you later, youse gettin’ a bath first.”
“God damn it, I bathed yesterday, woman.”
“And ye still smell of a horse’s arse.”
He bites her hard. “And you’re my wife.”
She bites her bottom lip to stifle a groan. “My hand got the job done without you for months. I can last a while without sex. Can you?”

Why can’t people be fucking normal in celebrity fandoms? You have the parasocial people. The ones who constantly over sexualize celebrities. The social people who get butt hurt over people asking they can join their community when discord is free and can form there. The toxic blog pages that love to spread hurtful filth or rumors that could cause harm. I could go on. Seriously what happened to fandom etiquette.
