“Do you really believe that?” He asks, taking a step closer. “Do you truly think that you could believe it?” Maybe, maybe not, but Dylan knew fully well that it was a lie. All evidence pointed to it and while the Master may have had some . . .  amusement with her being around? Dylan saw her as nothing more than an annoyance. Quite possibly even a small threat.

Dylan of course, would never admit to that or his true feelings on the matter. At least, never outright. For he would accept what the Master wanted. For now, at least - until he turned her into something for his collection.

she’s lost count of the flowers bajoran children have handed her, darting through station to the point maeve has no need to see odo to know poor changeling must be losing his liquid mind. little colourful collection has been carefully gathered all the same, replicated orange glass holding them all on workspace - a lively distraction from work maeve cannot deny is all too welcome.

perhaps,  in the end,   it boils down to the fact scientist really needs to start working on making herself some new friends.  romulan makes little effort to hide the way hand moves up to rub her face  -   as if pun may disappear along with exhaustion,  as if brain might work at full function again if she wills it hard enough.    (   hot coffee is fresh from replicator,  bitter and black and everything it should be to hopefully reboot the parts of herself lacking in lieu of actual rest.  )

🗴🗴🗴 — The Vagrant sits on the log with his elbows on his knees, hand wrapped over one another, both settled firmly at the chin of his mask. Calm as the evening was, there was an unmistakable sense of unease in the air. A sense of a certain tension he could not place. Perhaps it was this woman... Her origins, unknown and circumstances so wildly unfamiliar and odder than anything. He simply stares at her from the eye-holes of his mask, contemplating the truth of her words for a long while, the fire crackling softly between the two of them. "And so, then... do you live in fear? .... Or in horror ?" He near whispers in his usual low timbre, his words holding far deeper a meaning than what was spoken and yet... he suspects that she may understand what he means.

His expression changes to one of both sympathy and doubt. He wouldn’t call her out on it, but he can tell her claimed trust isn’t entirely truthful here. That it’s more out of desperation than any genuinity. He doesn’t blame her either. His trust isn’t easily achieved either. He wouldn’t have taken it personally if she didn’t trust him. 

But, well, he won’t disagree that this is the most favourable choice for her.

He moves to the other side of the room to rummage through drawers until he finds a spanner that’ll do the trick. He returns to her side quickly. Falling down to his knees to sit besides her. “ I’m gonna need you to move your hand . but I’m not gonna lie- this is gonna hurt . “ He warns.
