Found a woman that not once asked me to change who I am or was. At the same time made me want to change my entire life. Made me realize a lot of things in such a short time. Always learning, Always taking notes along the way It's not unusual to find me head down in a book, watching an online class, listening to podcasts or audio books. I'm a nerd - plain and simple - and I love to learn. This week I wanted to share something I picked up from a podcast I was listening to on the way to a shoot last week. The podcast was from Brit Carmichael (@theworldbybrit) and her husband Chris (@heyitscarmichael) They just launched their new Elevated Life Podcast and I'm already hooked) In the first episode they shared a lot about their journey but the thing that stuck out most was when they started talking about the "7 and Above Club" My first thought was...hmmm I dunno what it is but I don't know that I belong either. As I kept listening, they blew my mind. Here's what the 7 and above club is all about. Its about looking at any opportunity that comes up and rating it on a scale of 1 to 10 about how much you want to do it, how much it excites you, how good a fit you think it is. If it gets a 7 or above - it's a go! If not, its not happening. Brit and Chris began applying this to everything from major business decisions to holidays with family and I'm seriously mind blown. What a simple, but powerful concept! I have talked before, more than a few times, about creating priorities and honouring them. It's important to me, and still a work in progress. But now I think I'm ready to join the 7 and above club. Who's with me?
