(I am dying. I am in love. Kirsche took my request - Amara and Lucanis a la a Fabio bodice ripper book cover from a throw away joke in one of my stories - and absolutely hit it out of the park. Doing the Maker's work here. I would buy that book. 😍

My birthday isn't until next week but it has absolutely come early. Please celebrate with me by enjoying the view 😘)

After an apparently modest lunch (dates wrapped in some kind of cured meat with an assortment of nuts and cheese,) Mara took out a book and sat with her husband, reading passages aloud while he started another round of coffee. Skinner worked her way over to them. “Is that - Lutara Beltare’s new story? I didn't realize it had been collected for publishing yet!” Mara smiled, tapping her finger against the cover. It looked like a bodice ripper, with a dramatically shirtless winged man embracing an elven woman wearing simultaneously too much and too little. ‘Personal Demon,’ the text on the cover read. “We were gifted an early copy.” “That was the least she could do,” grumbled Luca, still working his way through the endless coffee ritual. - 'Pastorale' <3

"Let people enjoy things", "It's not that deep", "Stop being a hater", No.

You are capable of criticizing something and still enjoying it. Criticism should add to your enjoyment of the thing. Contextualizing and analyzing media is the only true sign that you enjoy it instead of just consume it. Stop selling the straggling iotas of your final brain cell to a fascio-capitalist system that wants to gorge you til you burst. Not consuming anything is better than blindly inhaling whatever is put in front of you without discretion.

Be an intellectual and have respect for yourself so you can have some sugary Wattpad fanfic and a Netflix reality TV show for dessert.
