So going more into elf god ultimately, originally was the god of the elves who gave the gift of magic to her people.

This would rapidly make their society grow extremely fast, to the point where she couldn't keep up with them.

As her society kept growing and growing in such a short period of time many many would grow relitant on such magic to improve their lives, as one example many would of which would use magic to live beyond their limits ( for elves were only supposed to live to 200 but with magic they could push it to 600 years )

And as the years went by the more advanced magic was used, the more it took its toll on her. Eventually her magic began to weaken / and ultimately her people would feel it's effects.

All of her elves that relied on such magic to improve their health would fall ill and soon her society would delove into chaos and she knew if she didn't act fast, it would be the end of her people.

So in one last desperate attempt she used the last of her divinity to put most of her people in a magic coma and after everything that was done, she collapsed.

But after she woke up she realized she was no longer a god but instead a mortal on the surface . Now with no powers or magic she must find another source of magic for her people or die trying.
