Heyyy ! Yes I’m late but this took me 14 hours of work and I just finished it after 7 hours (I wanna cry) This is a headcanon of mine, but I really wanted to draw Martyn and Jimmy in their respective Listeners outfit. (they will never see and it’s okay)
For me, Martyn has his own outfit since he’s been a Listener longer than Jimmy, also his second origin is a Barracuda (Watchers are avians and/or animals that flies so why not the Listeners are fishes and/or animals that swims) I kinda got inspired by Limited Life, so Martyn is a dangerous fish !
For Jimmy, his outfit is more traditional but he has more yellow since he’s new to being a Listener, also added some orange feathers because of the Phoenix theory (that I love and preach). He’s still an avian but has some fish parts like fins, the bottom of his cape is suppose to look like the fins of a flying fish.
I tried to do some sort of ocean/water kinda vibe but it’s hard when your color palette is mostly green and yellow. Both of them have their eyes covered cause the main thing about the Listeners are to listen, like our Lore God Martyn said they are the embodiments of “lending a listening ear” !
I really liked to draw them, first time drawing Martyn even if it’s "not really" him but still ! Also not lore accurate but I love all the theories and headcanons sooo

Headcanon Time: Jimmy did this because he was scared to die first again, we don’t really have a lore on his part but it’s the general headcanon about this scene. Also when he is alone, his listener habits are very present
