While Barley as an adult is quite loud and talkative, I feel like when he was younger he was that kid in school who'd sit alone and drink his juice box while reading his QoY book daydreaming about his future quests. Either that or I'm just self projecting which is more likely 🤔

Every time I watch Onward

The third act in Onward is honesty in my opinion one of the best ones ever made. The ending is beautiful, the memories scene is one of my favorite ones in the movie, the final battle is beautifully animated and the (spoilers) scene is truly incredible.

Barley and Wilden headcanons

Wilden used to play Quests of Yore as well and Barley when he was older found his old collection and that's how he got introduced to the game.

Wilden would tell Barley plenty of stories about the past and how magical the world was.

Barley used to pull Wilden's beard.

On Halloween Wilden would dress up along with with Barley and they'd go trick or treating together.

Barley was the first to find the tape and he'd talk to it too until he gifted it to Ian.

Wilden has the same taste in music as Barley.
