So I typically wake up first cause I’m used to being alone but with him? He wakes up before me, wanting to make sure I don’t have to be so independent what a sweetie

We met when we were younger but had a bit of an estranged relationship after his grandmother died. He used to be rather indifferent to me as a kid but he always had a pull toward me he couldn’t deny, and I was the same; even platonically! The romantic feelings came later as we studied more and he was the grand scribe. As a musician and wanting to study music, he hated that I would try so hard to change the sages minds because he knew they wouldn’t budge. I started to hate him, thinking he must’ve had some sort of vendetta against me for always telling me my research was denied. And we kept running into each other to the point I became a fixture in his home, sometimes forcing Kaveh to leave so we could be alone to “have a scholarly debate”

I personally believe Alhaitham fell first but didn’t realize what his feelings were for a long time. Because let’s be real, when we first met each other we were wary of each other so it was like him? Never. But with that, came the inevitable of me falling harder. Seeing his passion for his friends and doing the right thing for the Akademiya really changed things. I had wanted to go with him but he b basically forced me not to (and we weren’t even dating then!) He denies it up and down if you ask him, saying it was all me, but when we get back and are in bed cuddling he can’t wait to tell me how long I’ve been in his heart and how long it took him to realize his feelings.

Oh goodness we’re both neurodivergent so for him he for sure enjoys info dumping and body doubling, both giving and receiving. I think I found this out when he asked me to review his most recent research critique with him and he read it to me as I was making dinner. Staying a good distance but is happy I’m listening while I’m doing something else. For me, I like physical touch and giving physical touch and he is receptive of that. It’s not something he does a lot, but for me he’ll do little touches here and there to help calm my anxiety and lemme know that he’s there

Which out of you and your f/o decides what the meal is going to be most often?

Who gives more forehead kisses?

Omggggggggg I love these questions!!! I had to think really hard about them and I love that so much

Okay Imma go a little crazy and talk about a bunch hahaha so!!

Hitoshi typically will pick the meals for us! It depends on who does the cooking but we usually will shop and cook together

For Alhaitham and I, it’ll be me. Like I think we would discuss the meals and I would make most of the decisions and Alhaitham would go out and get the ingredients

Mondo is a gentleman through and through so he’s doing the meal picking, and then double checks cause he gets me all 🥺

Umemiya my beloved gardener is a farm to table type of guy so he’s doing everything and I get to bask in the glow of his. And also we make food together and do we actually eat it off of plates or each other 👀

Kei and I it’s kinda even?? Like we both don’t wanna pick but then we have to compromise and we rock paper scissors until we come up with a plan 😂

Akaashi picks the meals and I am totally okay with that haha

Hitoshi is the king of forehead kisses. When Alhaitham and I are reading together or body doubling, he’ll give me a smooch on the forehead every now and then as a check in. Aventurine is without a doubt a sneaky forehead kisser when he’s in the mood for touch/kisses. Kei cause he’s a lot taller than me and it’s adorable to me

I haven’t showered in three days and the only reason why I’m doing it now cause of these two thoughts.

Tsukki walking into my apartment with all my favorite foods and candies and goes into my room. “You stink, take a shower stupid.” And he’ll practically force me out of bed and when I’m done he’s on the couch with a good spread and a new squishmallow to cuddle as we watch movies

Alhaitham would stare at me as I work on a puzzle, which I’m actually doing, and when I grab a snack he takes the rest of the pieces. “You’ll get them back once you bathe. If you can focus on a puzzle you can focus on taking care of yourself.” I pout and relent, just cause this puzzle is so fun and I know I need to.

Okay so like…I have this cute little headcanon for alhaitham and it’s kinda selfship coded but oh well

If sunflowers existed in Teyvat or in ancient times of Teyvat, his partner would become obsessed with them. The mere idea of their color, their size, what they represent, it all just fascinates you. So much so it intrigued Alhaitham. He would often find you doodling them and has seen the evolution of their design.

So without your knowledge, he took your designs, notes, and books on sunflowers and sent them to Tighnari, hoping the Amurta scholar can help him out. Tighnari was absolutely intrigued and by this simple demand alone, he knew how much Alhaitham loves you. It took months, but the forest ranger was able to splice some stuff together to come up with the flower you’ve been dreaming about.

It’s a strangely rainy day when Alhaitham comes home with his hands full. You give him a curious look as he holds a covered pot. He walks over to where you’re sitting in the kitchen and places the pot in front of you, a small bag sitting next to it. He removes the cover and your eyes go wide with excitement. Your jaw drops as your extensive vocabulary goes out the window. Bright yellow petals with a full brown middle, and rich green stems and stalks. It’s the sunflower, with seeds to grow more.

Happy tears fall from your eyes as Alhaitham hugs you from behind. His smile is hidden from your view but he knows you can sense it. You turn around in his arms to face him and wrap your arms around his waist. You cry into his chest out of pure joy and he hugs you back. Alhaitham breathes calmly and whispers in your ear. “Look in the bag.”

You wipe your eyes and speak through a choked throat. “It’s the seeds right? Wh-where can we plant them.” You take the bag and put the seeds in your hand. You look down at your cupped palm and feel some metal. “What? Alhaitham…”

Your body turns around and behind you is Alhaitham on one knee. The seeds and ring almost fall out of your hand as you want to cover your face in shock. His face is full of contentment and love. “I had looked through your notes and remembered how often you talked about them. Sunflowers, a concept that seemed unreal and far fetched, was something you found to love. And that’s how I feel about you loving me. You are like the sun in my life. It took me and Tighnari months to come up and create this moment. Your light,” he falters a bit with a hint of nervousness, “stands tall and brings joy to so many others. Just like how sunflowers bring you joy, you bring me joy, and not only me but everyone around you.” He takes the hand that’s holding the seeds, his fingers delicately picking out the ring to hold it in front of your face.

You smile and sniffle, shaking your head in disbelief while also nodding before he asks you anything. “Sunflower, will you stay with me forever, be my partner for life?”
