Elizabeth Keen Week
⤷ Day 4: Eli Matchett 3.03
Every time I see 3x3, I wish they’d inserted something further about that cop in there.
The dude never identified himself as a cop. He could have been any run-of-the-mill bad guy. They thought he was. Red said he worked for some low life, and the dude never corrected him.
I would have liked to see Red warn Liz against hesitating to shoot the next time someone pulls a gun on her because of that experience. Next time it might not be a cop.
“you crossed a threshold - leaving your world, entering mine.”
So I’ve finally seen the latest Blacklist episode and I’m writing a review, although unlike for the previous, mostly exciting and well done episode (If you ignore the similarities of certain dialogue from a certain old show and focus on the many great scenes and romantic setting), I have mixed feelings about it. I’m currently finishing up on some pros and cons, with maybe a few screen caps thrown into the mix. To be honest a certain promo for 3x04 has made me wary of thinking positively about the rest of season 3.
Even the comic #4 which is soon to be released, doesn’t fill me with much happiness but I will still read it, as I’ve enjoyed the previous issues, the storyline and the art and will write a review. The reason for my less than enthusiastic thoughts is the fact (and I’m not sure if I dreamed it or not, someone please prove me wrong) I seem to recall reading some interview/article/post with the comics’ writer Nicole Phillips saying that Phelps is set to appear in one of the issues? That doesn’t mean it will be in this issue but still the mere thought of seeing him, even in comic form makes me feel mad. I thought that at least the comics would not pander to this character.
Did anyone find the plot a little hard to follow or was it my TK mini stoke impairing my ability to think?
Mr. Catington’s Summary
3.03 Eli Matchett
Dear humans,
@askdembezuma is still not back and now Mr. Vargas is also missing. I never liked him that much to be honest. He never wanted to cuddle me because he was afraid my hair might stick to his fancy shirts. Tsss... Anyway, of course I still hope he’s gonna be fine.
Meanwhile @askraymondreddington and @askelizabethscottkeen are hunting down some dude who wants to release a virus... or was it bugs? Or Bugs that carry a virus? And actually... wait. I think it was the FBI who’s hunting down virus-dude? It’s a bit hard to keep track of what’s going on with them. Humans make things always so overly complicated. Basically what’s important is that Raymond and Lizzie lady are okay.
...see you next week. Sincerely, Mr. Catington
Can we talk about how a) Liz looks super happy when she was right about the vent, b) asks questions when Red is telling another of his endless stories bc she’s ACTUALLY interested and c) grabs his arm to pull him out of the apartment?
Not another mysterious virus. How many times did we have this plot line? At least twice per season.
