“DARK PERIMETER / BASIC PRIMARY SHAPES”

First conceived in Paris in 2002 and adopted by Brussels a year later, the October celebration of Nuit Blanche provides an opportunity for virtually any venue in the city to become a site for festivities, performances, and artistic creation. Every year nearly 100,000 revelers throng the center of Brussels and see new light shed on both familiar and as yet undiscovered parts of the city. Córdoba, Argentina artist Elian Chali uses vibrant colors and graphic mix of shapes and patterns to support work primarily focused on the structure and spirit of the city. For the Nuit Blanche 2015 theme of “Renaissance” Chali’s work on Rue Saint-André explored the importance of architectural shapes in Brussels, focusing on the concepts of renewal, resurrection, and renovation.  @elianchali  @nuitblanchebrussels  @visitbrussels
