As a mentalist I regualry do deduction in my repertoire. I have a little notebook where I write everything I did no matter if its wrong or not. Because I learn on mistakes. So I was going through my notebook and I noticed a deduction that I did when I was preforming in a restaurant for a group of people. And it was the very first deduction that I did. I borrowed a phone from her. Immediately I noticed that she is holding it so tight. So I could infer that she is careful about her phone and a little nervous. But based on her bag I deduced that she is not a careful person. So why is she protecting her phone? Maybe because it is new. I also noticed a scratch mark and also I could see that she tried to cover it with a pen. That phone just came out so she must have bought it a few days ago. Now because it is new and I could see a scratch mark I deduced that it probably fell down when she bought it and that is why she is careful with her phone and that is why she tried to cover the mark. I that deduced that she has a boyfriend, that she is right handed, forgetful, sociable and recently been abroad. It really helps when you write things down. After you can see how much you improved your deductive prowess.
