A short snippet thingy I wrote months ago, between MC and Ellara. Set in Book 3 Chapter-9, in the side quest "Rebel Causes", but Ellara is also a part of it. The cultists Tyril GC might remember this!

'She's really good at this, isn't she?' Maria said, impressed, looking at Aurinae fool the guard. 'Taxes?'

Ellara gave her a tight-lipped smile. Maria wondered, for the tenth time, why this New God had not looked her in the eye yet.

'So, uh,' she tried. 'What do you do when, you're… not doing rebel stuff?'

Ellara shrugged, taking a not-so-subtle step back.

'Okaay,' Maria sighed.

'I like keeping an eye on my temples,' Ellara said suddenly, voice far too sharp for this "casual" conversation.

Maria raised an eyebrow, a prompt for her to elaborate.

'Specifically the one near your village,' Ellara clarified.

Maria grinned. 'I have good memories there. It's where me, Mal and Nia became a team. And-'

Realization flashed on her face. She looked at the New God in horror.

'Oh, what the fu-'

Nia Ellarious has the same name as the eleven god Ellara. Is there some sort of connection? Nia was taken in by the temple as a kid, so they might have named her that.

Just got back into Choices

Wow I forgot how much fun I had getting to disappear from reality for a bit even though there are moments where I am annoyed with certain characters

Currently loving Bloodbound book 2 even Gaius’s Voldemort looking ass is here but I mean hey we finally found out what MC is so that’s cool 😅👍🏻

Also really like the adventure sorta DnD-ish story too. Blades of Light & Shadow 👌🏻 the owlbear was actually really awesome looking and cute 💞 when it isn’t killing you 😂😅

So Ellara and/or Xaius could still be alive, right?

It’s true the lore tablet said that elven lifespans cap at 300 but the scholar told Kit that the elves were searching for immortality.

And yeah, it caused a mini-apocalypse but the Realm of Shadow is here. So if the evil makes good on its deals the elves involved should be some version of immortal.

...Also, new faces and PB doesn’t waste new assets on a 2 second scene, come on.

Maven Calore whose ability and chance to love was stripped away from him deserved better. Maven Calore who was tortured as a baby only to learn to walk faster deserved better. Maven Calore who was made by his own mother to be a monster deserved better. Maven Calore whose mother kept poisoning him with the idea that her abusive ways meant that she loved him and after that he didn't know what real love is,deserved better. Maven Calore deserved better and you can tell me nothing.
