These stories, because we get four in this book, left me all happy and warm! This small town already has my heart and getting to have three sets of their residents get relationships, it was holiday cheer overload. The baker and the fireman, making up for a missed opportunity. The barista and the new single dad in town, cute kid and feisty cat, and making amends after a misunderstanding. Then we have the big brothers best friend, and a mystery to be solved. Finally a cute and wonderful moment between a couple we know and love, and how there is no such thing as privacy in a small town <3

I love this town, who wouldn’t love a holiday-based town? This time around we go from Memorial Day to Independence Day as our couple start out at logger-heads, move onto a truce, then are full-blown dating over the course of the book. Lots of giggles, lots of friendships, all sorts of interesting events, and two people figuring out how to maneuver it all 😊

The plan was to have this read on Hallowe’en, but I was day late, because, life. No worries though because this seasonal sweet works anytime during the autumnal season! Two single parents of teens have been dancing around each other, more like their teens with the “does he, does he not” at the beginning. When they finally connect, it was wonderful to see their relationship develop, how they deal with their problems, and their growth. They have some issues and some are bigger than others, but big hearts and strong minds get them over the hurdles. They have a wonderful connection and genuinely care and that has them straight on the path to their HEA <3

Sometimes you just need a sweet story to warm you up, and this definitely hit the spot! The fact it is set in a small town that goes all out for holidays, well, that’s one of my weaknesses I couldn’t resist. I mean, the town is called Holiday!!! Lucy and Roy are either completely together, or he is at odds with her for one of various reasons he has blown out of proportion. Love that she never lets him get away with that, and also that she is a genuinely kind and caring person. She just has bad luck. That comes out with her interactions with the townsfolk, the caring and the luck, and she quickly becomes a part of this community. Roy comes around, eventually, on many things he thought were one way, but really were him being stubborn, and with both our characters finally on the same page, they can begin their HEA.
