I came across yet another exchange of comments with one of those numerous accounts that simply can't seem to grasp the idea that it's possible to like multiple characters simultaneously, even if they contrast with one another. I want you to know that someone here fully support you .🫶🏻 it's also astonishing how much arrogance and presumption they exhibit in their interactions- if only they took a look in the mirror, they would likely find themselves bearing a striking resemblance to James Potter lol
Ahh thank you my dear!! And yes I completely agree. There's a lot of us who just like all the characters and I think this incendiary attitude makes it much more difficult to do so! Like by all means, feel free to believe that James was an abuser or that Lily was a selfish gold digger, my main issue is when people put it on my posts or in my inbox. And I'd have (and have had) the same issue if someone did the same for Snape, who is also a character I love.
I'd like to think that was a bit of a lesson in presumption for that user given how spectacularly badly their 'you couldn't possibly understand this i'm spanish' ploy worked out for them but alas, probably not.
