Really writers...really. You kill Ellen Corcoran! For what reason? To make the audience identify with Corky and his man pain? To free him up to be with another woman? Because god forbid he actually forgives his wife for cuckolding him!!!
The worst part for me is not that Ellen killed herself, but that she killed her and Kevin's child--again.
It's a horribly selfish thing she did, looking at it rationally. But Ellen wasn't thinking rationally, at the time. You can't, when you're mind is in as dark a place as that.
