We had a peaceful Christmas. Well, as peaceful as it can get with four kids in an apartment. Lynne wrote to tell me about Christmas at the Grunt household, where her twins (Valerie and Warren) have recently entered those dreaded teenage years. Thank Christ we’re not there yet. She tells me that Lois is doing well back in Evergreen Harbour, where her kids (Ted Jr and Lisa) are also nearly grown up. Over the pond, in Henford-On-Bagley, the remaining Scott cousins also had a happy Christmas. Lynne has kept up with Cousin Ellie since her visit there after she first got married. 

Nothing exciting, but you know, with family - no news is good news.

Lynne sent a card for Christmas. Tank’s been deployed, so she’s in Britechester studying fashion photography and living with cousin Ellie who’s an aspiring model. She’s visited with our family who live over there outside the city in Henford-on-Bagley. God, I wish I could travel. 

Nothing from home except Lynne’s reports. Mamma and dad are happy. Lois is getting bigger everyday, she’s due soon. I wonder what they’ll call the baby - I hope to God they don’t pick a theme of alliteration. 

I worked all day on Christmas. We weren’t very busy. Everyone is with their families, I guess.

Christmas morning was perfect. Lily put her artistic talents to making the place look festive and Lynne made socks for everyone, with mamá’s help. For dinner we had a terrific ham, courteously of Betsy and Lois. All the girls have been on their best behaviour so Santa brings them the gifts they want. I hope they can keep it up into the new year...

I got a Christmas card from cousins in Brindleton Bay, Rodney and Barry (Uncle Tim’s sons). Rodney’s married now and has a girl about the triplet’s age. 

The cousins in HOB (Uncle Allen’s kids) also wrote. Cousin Charlotte is still unmarried, but Marvin and Melvin both got hitched and have little ones of their own. 

It sounds like the rest of the Scott family are also having a perfect Christmas.
