Dear Evan Hansen
It's my first time to watch a musical at The Theatre at Solaire and I got the chance to see the Tony award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen. Thank God they extended it until October 5.
The tickets that last week were discounted and I was lucky to sat at the balcony, front and center! My friend told me that if it's my first time it's better to sit at the balcony to see the whole production.
I began knowing about DEH because of me stumbling upon watching Ben Platt performing Waving Through The Window and that's where I started watching clips on YouTube and also watching the film but of course I haven't watched the musical itself and when I finally did that night I was really exhilarated.
I was really emotional because of how powerful their performances are. What a very talented cast. It was deeply moving dealing with social anxiety and grief and I was tearing up specially at the Words Fail part.
Ellis Kirk played Evan and I was captivated by his gripping performance. Every time he looks up towards my direction it feels that he's singing to me. Haha.
I will never forget this experience. Thank you, Dear Evan Hansen.
