Robin's wearing new clothes and just repainted her nail polish, and has on an old necklace she got in college. she's definitely gay panicking and rambling (Nancy is too, just internally, all that time having to act for their job makes them very good at staying calm)

and I guess after a while they start to talk, and while Nancy was planning on leaving, they just like talking to Robin. next thing they know it's closing time.

Nancy has to leave just as it's starting to rain. Robin rushes after them, but Nancy it totally doing that don't follow me eye thing (probably in case the people following them get to Robin) so they leave with a promise of seeing Robin tomorrow.

Robin's gay so obviously the first thing she does after meeting this really cute stranger is make them a strawberry pie.

it sort becomes they're thing after that. Robin is definitely catching on to the not-quite-right thing about Nancy. they don't talk about it. they come into the store one time with a really bad cut on their face (Robin cleans it for them)

One time a man in a suit came in a bit after Nancy. Nancy who asked Robin to cover for them as they snuck out the back door. That.. was a day.

Another time Nancy come to Robin's place to get help dying their hair a different colour. They both had fun but the whole time there was an unspoken Thing going unsaid. They have dinner and drinks after that, it was all such a good day that Nancy almost told Robin about their job.

It's literally fine, I have an ask in my inbox from November that I haven't touched since last year (so weird it's 2023 now. I hope you have an amazing new year that is uneventful and you're loved ones stay in good health <- coined phrase over the last couple day lol)

AS FOR THE LITTLE BIT OF SNOW I TALKED ABOUT it kept on coming then there was like a foot and a half, which wouldn't be too bad except it stayed like -23 for like a week and a half (arctic outflows my beloathed) and never melted the entire time.

tbh the weather's not bad anymore, it's still pretty cold but all the snow is gone and it was sunny today!!! I made pancakes an moved my plants to the big window so they could get sun to celebrate.

once again risking it all for some whipped cream.

The new job is going pretty good! I've discovered that kid's under the age of 7 think my fake and very bad for that matter Russian accent is hysterical, which I think is hysterical.

December was actually pretty good! An stubbornly optimistic is definitely the vibe for this year. I don't really have any new years resolutions except for maybe treating myself as kindly as I hope this year teats me. How about you?

Alas, Priory is still sitting rejected on my bookshelf. I got a really cool copy of The Hobbit at my favourite book store so now i'm doing a re-read 😂 While I was there I met the new bookstore cat and not to be dramatic but I'd die and kill for her.

I gotta answer the favourite ice cream flavour question from the ask game first because I've found out something very interesting.

Ok so i'm about to say something very weird and apparently very Canadian, but my favourite ice cream flavour is tiger tail(tiger tiger, tiger, tiger stripe. I've seen many variations) ANYway this is gonna sound like a weird combo if you haven't tried it but it's basically orange ice cream with black licorice ice cream swirled throughout it (weird ik) but while I was looking up the actual proper name of the ice cream I found out it's a Canadian only thing, not only that but it's a regional flavour so only certain parts of Canada has it???

anyway I fell down a loop hole and now need to know what you call the metal shopping carts at the store, knitted caps that you wear during winter, and also what do you call you 1 dollar coins? (buggy, tuque, and loonie for me)

man weather is so weird. one time at the end of august I remember it started to snow while we were driving home not for very long but still strange. Right now its -1°C with the low for tomorrow(today now) at -13°C which i'm kinda dreading.

I also liked to mix up spices when cooking as a kid. Most of the time it didn't work well but one time I found out that if you're making a sweet carrot cake (or cakes like that) and you're making cream cheese frosting, adding a bit of garam masala to the frosting adds a bit of a kick and cuts the sweetness in a non overpowering way!
