(enemy throatgrab meme) "Let her go." Elladan's voice was soft, but it held all the menace of an enraged elven lord. His hand was tight on the hilt of his sword as he faced down Rossiel's captor. "She will not help you, and if you hurt her you will die."

Rossiel whimpered, eyes wide in fright as she waited, either for her captor to obey Elladan or defy him.  After a moment that felt like an eternity, the grasp on her throat was released, and she was shoved forward roughly.

(elrondyn) The twins had been relieved to learn that the cheerful little trainee minstrel had survived the fall of Edhelion. They had been less relieved to hear that she had not spoken a word since. Determined to see to her well-being themselves, they set out to see her. Even if she could not talk, perhaps some familiar faces would give her comfort.

She tiptoed to the door of the guest-chamber she occupied and opened it just a crack to peer through.  Just Lord Elrond’s sons.  Safe, then.  Not foes.  Rossiel waved them in and returned to her seat by the fire, nest of blankets seeming nearly to consume her wan little frame.

Illness themed RP starters

Elrond had not even realized he had dazed off - or actually fallen asleep at his desk in his office. Yet from somewhere somehow the voice of his son made its way into the mind of the tired Elven lord and roused him from his slumber. “Wha-…where…?”

"Come on. Get up. Please, get up." (elrondyn)

"Can’t…"

It was difficult to muster even the strength to force that syllable past her lips; a struggle to keep her eyes open, to focus on one twin or the other.

"After Edhelion, I think.  I… t-try not to remember much about that time, but your father was helping the displaced refugees find shelter…"
