Standing close to a palace walkway in the country of Corona, the Duke of Weselton was to be found contemplating what to do under his breath. He could only hope that his King (brother) would choose to ignore one of the Duke’s quirks in public. Specifically dealing with the smaller man’s tendency to talk under pressure.
The fact that the ball hosted was in celebration of the three nations’ alliance with each other: Weselton, Corona, and lastly…Arendelle. What irony was this then, that two countries not reconciled were meant to celebrate an old friendship now placed in jeopardy?
The Duke warily looked over to where his King stood only to see the very person who was at the heart of Weselton’s misfortune. The Duke’s King himself was also gazing at Queen Elsa, the wrinkles that lined his face taut and severe.
But never a complaint escaped his King’s lips. The Duke couldn’t help but shiver at that glare he knew all too well. Without another word to worry him, the Duke made a quick dash over to the middle of the ballroom.
Pausing, the Duke wiped his brow from the sweat that was gradually running down his face. As it turned out, the weather proved to be as harsh as everything else was. The Duke decided to look at Arendelle’s Queen before thinking of dancing with the accepting subjects of Corona…
