sue has spent the better part of the their relationship coming to terms with the fact that she will never fully know or understand the trillion different calculations & outcomes reed processes in one day . because there are at least a million for every single decision he makes big and small . from what to eat for breakfast to the exact angle he needs everyone to be to bring down whatever alien slash monster slash villain has decided to invade their home . she struggles with it , sometimes , when in the greater scheme of things while all of that assessment is being done in that huge brain of his , things get lost . things don’t make it into the equation - feelings , even if they don’t necessarily align with what , in the end , needs to be done . & he tries his hardest , she knows he does , even if he fails . it only affirms , even just the trying , even if they’ve already fought & it hasn’t even crossed his mind to throw his intelligence in her face , that they can & will overcome anything . she smiles up at him from her book from her place on the couch , his shoulders heavy with the weight of the world as it so often is . she sets her book aside & holds her arms out towards him . ❛ c’mere , babe . i think that as two very smart , very qualified adults i’m sure we could find something to do that doesn’t require much thinking at all . ❜
