a/n: this request was sitting in my inbox for a little over a year yet now i finally came around to actually writing it since i’ve recently gotten back into inside job and got my love for alpha beta back…

ᯓ✦ at first before you two dated, he treated you like everyone else, like some sort of pawn to his own game even though he’s chopped in half and inside a jar.
ᯓ✦ sometimes you can’t help laugh at his antics here and there yet you can’t help but feel a bit bad at times as well.
ᯓ✦ everyone else in the gang (mainly regan) will nudge at you to not feel that way, i mean he did try to kill humanity once before being put inside a jar for everyone’s safely.
ᯓ✦ and that’s what you tell yourself when you start to feel bad even the slightest bit.
ᯓ✦ and alpha-beta knew, he somehow always does even before you do, and he doesn’t fail to tell you about it whenever you interact with him first hand.
ᯓ “you have that look in your face again…”
ᯓ “what look?”
ᯓ “that look that you feel sorry for me, you’re looking lower than usual, your brows are slightly more farrowed as your head tilt with the same slight, and you always look like a kicked puppy whenever you come in here. in my opinion this is just sad since you look like that every single time i see you.”
ᯓ✦ maybe that should’ve been your first sign, there was no of his usual insults toward your way, it was more like genuine concern instead.
ᯓ✦ maybe he was finally warming up to you, or maybe apart of him was in a bit of bliss having a constant visitor actually worried for him.
ᯓ✦ plus he somewhat enjoys seeing the way your facial expressions change when you see him but he won’t tell you that.
ᯓ✦ and your second sign was how the times he didnt see you, he always asked about you, despite him explaining away with an excuse like, “at least they don’t treat me like i’ll kill every living being when i have a chance, which i will of course, obviously.”
ᯓ✦ and this explains itself by how when you finally did come to see him after his constant complaining, his eyes instantly lighten up as he pauses his current conversation to put his full attention toward you with his own type of glee.
ᯓ “oh hello you, are you here to get these idiots out of my sight?”
ᯓ “i suppose so, but please don’t be rude.”
ᯓ “ of course, if i must…”
ᯓ✦ then when he has the revelation he actually likes you, it hits him like a truck, what the hell do you mean he’s starting to love the one thing he wants to kill?
ᯓ✦ and please don’t get him started on the whys, he really doesn’t know why, not now at least, but you watch friends with him goddammit!!
ᯓ✦ he somehow always indulges in your likes the second he finds out what they are, for example, do you really like a certain thing? he’ll give you facts about said thing not even a minute later in hopes to impress you.
ᯓ✦ desperate times calls for desperate measures i guess.
ᯓ✦ but when you two are finally dating he is ALL over you, a simple hello from you makes his entire day that it’s pathetic.
ᯓ✦ it’s obvious he’s so in love with you, very obvious.
ᯓ✦ if he’s still trapped but mobile, he’d definitely follow you around like a lost puppy without realizing it, tapping at the window hoping to get your attention, he wants to talk to you, pretty please just give him the smallest of acknowledgment.
ᯓ✦ but if he’s fully put back together, he’s definitely will have his hand on you one way or another whenever he can.
ᯓ✦ hand on your shoulder, waist, or just anywhere really as long as he’s touching you, it somehow keeps him grounded somehow?
ᯓ✦ he absolutely loves it when he sees you laugh or express any happy emotion toward him, he really doesn’t tell you this but he keeps all those laughs and such in a log in his computer mind to replay and replay constantly when he’s away from you.
ᯓ✦ because apart of him thinks about the day that you’re going to fade away from this field of existence and it scares him so he stores as much of you inside of his mind while trying to enjoy the current moment.
ᯓ✦ but he’s brought back to his senses when your soft hands touch his artificial skin of his cheek, he’s completely calm now just being with you.
ᯓ✦ you always make him calm despite what he shows on the outside, it’s always you.
So, umm... I was talking to my friends about how I have a fav design, which all my favorite characters have to put on at least once as some sort of a ritual, and...
There's no way he'd canonically put smth like this on but oh well...
After Alpha-Beta finishes watching "Friends" (or have rewatched it like hundreds of times), he goes into watching Brett's favorite 80s' classics with him. Because AB needs more wholesome media to consume and Brett needs to hook as many of his friends as possible on his fav shows
