have you considered the idea of Damian being very used to real magic but SUPER IMPRESSED by show magic

Like he's seen transformed objects a million times but that fuck just pulled a RABBIT OUT OF A HAT WITHOUT PORTALS

He has to infiltrate a party but they have a magician and he keeps getting distracted by just watching it.

I have never considered that and now that you say it I NEED IT TATTOED ON MY FOREHEAD!!

ADDING ON, he watches magician videos all the time online, because he can't always go to magic shows unfortunately, he doesn't care that they're most definitely edited he just can't get behind how cool it is.

To the point, if he's feeling unwell or upset but doesn't want to say his family simply asks him if he wants to watch a magician video. If he says no that means he feels really unwell or upset.

He also devotes a considerable amount of time learning card related magic tricks and shows anyone he can. He definitely goes up to Bruce and is like "Father, look at this :p" and Bruce is just on the verge of tears because this is the most child experience he has had in years.

OH and talking about showing it around, Cass obviously can read his body language and figure out what he's doing but pretends to be surprised anyways. Both of them know she's only pretending but it makes them both happy anyways to relish in the moment.

AND he shows Colin who also thinks they're SUPER cool and they both learn more together.

everyone assuming Damian's favorite greek myth is one where someone creates some genius idea or temps and outsmarts the gods (icarus or sisyphus/arachne if you count the one where she won against Athena) but really it's the doomed romances that only succeed in death.

Orpheus and Euridyce or Achilles and Patroclus, they give everything for love, lose it all, and completely despair and destroy themselves until they are reunited in the underworld for eternity rather than having all of life. AU where Damian is so neglected that the school calls it in and he's removed from Bruce. The only kid he's deemed unfit to care for is his own💔

Imagine Annie but he moves from a rich family to foster care for a year, then a quaint little apartment with this couple who can't have their own kid and love him properly. Bruce is forced to only check in on him when he's in the cowl, watching his son grow up from a far in a much better state, something his money shouldve been able to give Damian. The guilt he would hold for every kid he takes in after. Like Jason's death but he knows the kid is alive, he just can't hold him and apologise for every moment he spent alone and afraid.

Damian still has lunch with Talia every month and she brings him the highest quality art supplies and gives the adoptive parents extra money or nice clothing so they don't have to worry about balancing him, the bills, and their little date nights.

This is a rant but I love it so much, the Bruce angst, the Damian angst!! especially if he thinks Bruce wasnt forced to surrender him, Bruce chose to give him up silently.

Omg imagine Damian growing up into an adult and confronting Bruce about it, about why he never fought for him. And Bruce's heart just breaks at the confrontation because he simply thought Damian would have a better life away from him.

OMG TY FOR ASKING THIS! I need them to have the weirdest relationship ever. Once again, I'm basing it off of Robin 2021 because that is in fact my holy grail.

I think Ra's should just randomly pick up Damian for missions, does he need to be there? No. Are they even doing anything important? Absolutely not. He just picks him up randomly and takes him god knows where. He says it's important business but it's actually just a grandfather-grandson bonding time.

In typical Grandfather fashion, he always gets Damian something, whether an animal or some sort of artistry and absolutely traditional clothes. And he also always tries to make an offhand comment about Damian returning to LOA, which is of course met with a firm no. But he does get Damian to promise to drop by some time.

Like Talia, Ra's has a lot of endearments for Damian. He ALWAYS calls him a nickname. In Robin 2021 he called him "my little demon" and I think he should continue with that :P, I think he'd also call Damian his "cub" because he had wolf pets and yk the Al Ghuls and their love for animals.

They keep in contact through phone. They text once every blue moon and call even less but every month, Ra's sends him a photo of an animal they house and the latest meme of the month just for the fun of it. Damian ALWAYS cringes.

Talking about phones, he also sends him money all the time following the Chinese good luck numbers so Damian has an exuberant amount of pocket money.

They also chat in different languages each time because Ra's wants to see if Damian is keeping up with all the languages he knows. And sometimes he just throws in a pop quiz question for the fun of it.

Bruce gets upset with Damian for coming home late from school and despite Damian trying to explain himself Bruce cuts him off over and over before Damian says "i had a student counsel meeting and tutoring remember? i'm late because you were supposed to pick me up" and instead of actually taking that feedback and apologising he just sends him to his room and takes him off patrol because 'obviously he would know if his kid did extra curriculars, he's just making excuses'

Bruce later crying and planning to buy a hospital wing in Damian's name when he graduates med school and Damian kinda just has to deal with the switch up

Bruce, who missed Damian's 13th birthday and when Damian complained about it said "I'm here now", would be the same man years later planning an entire week with his baby to celebrate his birthday.

Damian, who had to keep his words in check around Bruce lest he incur his wrath, now being able to say whatever the hell and Bruce just goes "You're so right sweetheart 🥰🥰"

I think Damian would feel very complicated about the whole thing. Like I said before, he's overjoyed to be close with his father. At the end of the day that's his father yk but just in the middle of a random father-son quality time he'll remember how Bruce said that he "loves him but doesn't like him" And suddenly go like this

Damian should have a pet chameleon 

YES!! All Rapunzel style and his family ALWAYS mentions it, they totally attempt make him dress up as Rapunzel once for Halloween, whether they suceed or not is up to you.

But other than that, he's very devoted to making a good environment for the chameleon, to the point he uses an entire empty room in the manor purely for the chamelon. And he has this huge heat lamp too, which actually works quite well for Jon as well so whenever Jon comes over they hang out in the chameleon's room.

Jon always calls the chameleon Jon Jr which Damian is very unhappy about, totally.

What do you think about people hearing about Damian, thinking he's going to be the most prim and proper guy-- like the type of guy that wears suits 24/7 and then when they actually meet him he's constantly in sweat pants. He is the most teenager to ever teenager just a little bit more drastic bc he's a hero. He still has proper speech which they expected but like-- he's so chill?? He definitely does make you feel stupid but you can't even be mad

I feel like people gravitate towards him so so much bc he's so cool and I just can't imagine Damian doesn't have a ton of friends. He definitely has 'friends' and then actual friends who you do dumb stuff with, but I feel like everyone still really likes him.

YES!! I love the idea of him wearing formal wear but hey I think he'd have an eye for aesthetics. Who says a guy who's formal can't have a little swag here and there. I LOVE THE SWEATPANTS IDEA but hear me out twin, he wears streetwear. Like cool graphic tees, baggy pants, that sort of thing. I think his stature is perfect for it too since he's on the leaner side and shorter.

After he grows more, gets more comfortable in Gotham and starts figuring out his personality and persona, I think he'd definitely just be a cool chill guy. He'd be the fun sarcastic who's super witty, who's just slightly reserved, so it adds like a touch of mysteriousnsess to him if you get what I mean which is why he's attracting everyone like bees to pollen.

AND YOU ARE SO RIGHT, I think he'd be able to make small talk with everyone and he def has those 'friends' just for classes. But then he has plenty of actual friends who are also civilians, who he shares interests with like manga and drawing and stuff.

I can totally imagine them partaking in fandom stuff but hear me out, he would also go out to parties. He's not particularly fond of them nor is he a super party person but once in a while, just for the feeling, he'll attend a party, dance and have some fun and then not go out for like the next month.

And we already knows he has an entourage of vigilante friends but yeah Maya, Colin and Jon are defff his go to for any vigilante-adjacent chaos.

Little bit of like a hot take but I feel like Damian is usually more of the ragebaiter than the ragebaited. Everytime I see a panel he's just being an adorable annoying guy, not even bc he's annoying but he's trying to get someone pissed off. So, who do you think Damian most commonly teams up with to ragebait someone?? And actually, who is that someone bc Damian loves ragebaiting everyone he meets

YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT HIM BEING THE RAGEBAITER!! He's so witty with it too AND he'll do it with a big smirk, this boy is the most ragebaiter of them all.

Hear me out he LOVES ragebaiting Bruce, it's their love language. And who he does it with? Duke, Duke allll the way. He has such a witty mouth on him and I headcanon, or maybe it is canon considering Duke does live at the manor for quite some time, that they get pretty close after Duke stays at the Wayne Manor.

And after Bruce, I think they'd like to ragebait Tim. Paritally because he's the one of closest in terms of age, ragebaiting Cass is lowk impossible because she's just better like that, and because he's also the one who they see semi-regularly. Because Tim and Damian have a ragebait 4 ragebait relationship and I think Duke just likes jumping in on the fun, though ofc I think Duke's ragebait with Tim is a lot friendlier.
