"Brother, you can't possibly leave me cold out here in this weather?? Bro???????😭"
HG pls give thorns a winter skin🥺
So I saw your "ask me post" and figured it'd be fun to run a theory by you: the scroll says you have to "change the body" to save the host. Scott assumed that meant changing him into a werewolf, but what if it means Stiles will be freed if the nogitsune changed hosts? I'm starting to think the "hero" who dies will be someone who takes the nogitsune and then kills themselves?
What Deaton says exactly is "My Japanese isn't great, but it appears to say that one method of expelling a nogitsune is to change the body of the host"
This wording is very vague. First of all, Deaton says his Japanese isn't great so what he's translating may not even be correct. Secondly "change the body of the host" could mean change the body of the current host, which is what they assume it means, or perhaps change the actual host of the nogitsune, which is what your theory suggests, right?
While I would LOVE this to be the case, because I don't want Stiles to be given the bite, I'm not sure it is.
I think they really do need to physically change Stiles body in some way, but that doesn't necessarily mean turning him into a werewolf. In the previews Stiles stabs himself. He's slashing up his body - that's changing his body. It'll leave him scarred. So maybe that will be enough to expel the nogitsune? Who knows!
I think the "hero" dying is also very misleading. I don't think any of the main cast members are actually going to die, but maybe that's just me hoping. And if someone is going to die, I think it's Isaac, solely based on the fact that his piece on the chessboard had already been taken out, and he's in the hospital and not recovering.
