What do the other Vees think when Val brings Ember around, is she at all helpful to his industry?

(im probably going to be doing a lot of prefacing with these, so bear with me)

valentino in the case of a relationship with emberlynn is very much not like his canon counterpart. i like to think of him as like one of those overly flamboyant, melodramatic, old-school film directors who believes that whatever theyre doing is high art and not at all depraved. hes not outright abusive in this instance, but hes loud and annoying and opinionated. he loves emberlynn to pieces and constantly praises her "artistic vision" -- she expanded valentinos creative horizons (read: she introduced him to modern hentai, namely tentacle porn) and he showers her with gifts of flowers, fancy dinners, and expensive custom dildos.

emberlynn wants to be velvettes friend because shes cool and fashionable and famous, but velvette considers emberlynn to be rather low-brow and crass and doesnt really want anything to do with her. vox is honestly a little bit afraid of her, and he cant decide if she and valentino as a couple are more or less insufferable than valentino was on his own.

So I talked about them watching shit together, but Emberlynn recommending books & fanfic to Valentino. She's suuuuper enthusiastic about everything she recommends, talking his ears off before even giving him a chance to look it over. Val tries his best to match her energy and read what she gives as quick as possible, but... yeah no, he just couldn't. He tries to skirt around it for a bit but Emberlynn, persistent on knowing his opinion of every detail, figures it out.

She doesn't recommend anything for couple of days. Nothing else changes: they still gossip; they still have their movie nights; she still calls him after a hookup to pass on ideas for his next film. She just isn't recommending any books. Or fics! That's the one that gets him - she's on those websites 23 hours of a day, there's no way she hasn't found things he'd like. So why isn't she sharing them anymore? Would it be a waste of time to her?
