Vox Ships: Why Monopoly is Banned

StaticMoth / VoxVal / x Valentino = Val tries to seduce the landlord when he lands on one of Vox's properties. Vox does not mix Monopoly & sex.

PolyVees / x Valentino x Velvette = see above + Velvette is uninterested in the whole thing which riles up Vox more. Val & Vel used to team up against Vox to get him so angry he'd ragequit, and it worked so well the game is not allowed in the tower anymore.

StaticDust / x Angel Dust = Angel also tries to seduce the landlord but he mainly uses that as a cover to steal money and/or properties. It's more genuine when he's caught but again, Vox does not mix Monopoly & sex.

CatVideo / CardShark / x Husker = Vox had enough of having to search him for fifteen minutes every time they were about to play and still not catching all of it. That cat has money in every available space — once he had a wad of 500s he danced around his fingers to keep out of Vox's view and it worked for longer than Mr. Mass Surveillance would ever willingly admit.

StaticBelle / x Charlie = It's never fully banned, they just need a few weeks break between games. Charlie gets caught up in seeing Vox happy and she throws here and there. The first time she was called out for it she played fair and trounced him so thoroughly he sulked in his den for days. Ultimately he enjoys having a real rival but he gets so pissy that playing every time he demands a rematch would lead to misery.

StaticBoss / x Blitzø = Blitzø gives things to Loona for free. They tried to implement a rule where you had to trade to do that kind of thing, but then Blitzø traded Loona his dark blue set in exchange for 1 monopoly money so she wouldn't have to pay rent and Vox nearly fried himself right there.

Mammox / StaticGreed / x Mammon = only banned when others are playing because they will bankrupt everyone else (unallied mind you) ASAP and then be against each other for 4 hours.

Vox helping Blitzø get comfortable on live TV à la Seeing Stars. Yes I'm sticking with the teleshopping slot thing I really like it. Before he went on air Vox tried to frame it not as a performance but a sales pitch which did work! However Blitzø's sales pitch isn't a long one and he ends up floundering 3 minutes in. Vox quickly helps out by arranging a live demonstration, making Ethan call in as a customer to discreetly nudge Blitzø in the right direction, and zipping over to the studio to encourage Blitzø directly from off camera. Voxtek does actually buy the hits the assistant orders – it's a worthwhile expense, both because it helped Blitzø get the ball rolling & because it's a write off.

Banned games (or their hellish equivalents) for board game nights include:

Monopoly; Blitzø always tries to help Loona when he can and Vox gets pissed. They tried to compromise by only allowing trades instead of just giving things out but Blitzø then traded his properties to her for 1 money.

Scrabble; Blitzø gets frustrated that his messes of letters don't count but "syzygy" and "galavnomagnetic" are fine. Sometimes he gets angry, sometimes he just stops trying so it can be over with sooner. Vox only enjoys winning it when the other is failing, not when they're not even trying – that's no triumph.

Ludo, specifically Sorry; it just riles them up and they either do nothing about it until it blows over or they do each other about it.

Valentino & Velvette x Stella, leaning toward "all call it their version of friends-with-benefits; there is definitely strong love beyond sexual there but they don't acknowledge it, just express it in their individual ways"

Vox x Blitzø, business partners to romance

Vox singing the IMP jingle to himself around the V Tower (he does change a line to "kids die half price"; he doesn't care if the original sounds better, his is the better business model)

Again, both talking about Hell's marine life with giddy glee

Vox's employees learning Blitzø's coffee orders very quickly. They even make sure the spelling is correct like they need to for Vox's, even though Blitzø himself doesn't care.

Constantly 'owing' the other back for something. “Killed that bitch that was poking around your Earth-life, I'm square for last week's teleshopping show and y'know another slot would be great. I'm thinking Friday — tell me when that watch-secret gun prick knows he's off air, 'kay Flatface?” “Yeah, 'course, I'll get people right on that. Real quick while I have you, how is your office doing?” “... If you fixed the wall I swear Satan's ASS—”

They both know they don't actually owe the other shit when they're like this, it's their flirting 🩵❤️
