Hollyhocks are out in flower, sadly not in my garden though. I have embroidered this mini @dandelyne hoop with beautifully variegated silk ribbons although I think usually hollyhocks are just one colour in reality! 😆.

Recently I have enjoyed making my hydrangea pendants with antique ribbon. The flower head is made with antique French silk ombré ribbon which has a yellow stripe on one half and white the other, I love the effect it gives. I had been saving it for 'best' !! which is ridiculous.
