Yes, it’s toadstool time of year again. I love them. Here is a mini one I’ve mounted into a @dandelyne hoop and made into a pendant.
Day 20 of #SeptTextileLove is texture. Usually I try and give the idea of texture in my thread paintings with just the long and short stitch. Sometimes however I am tempted to pimp my long and short stitch with something else as shown here with tufts of black silk for the caterpillar spines on this pendant.
Colour is day 6 of @seam_collective #SeptTextileLove . Colour takes a major part in my embroidery work. I love the stage of picking my colours, and seeing how colours work with and against each other. Here is fine crewel wool on silk, the main vein on the leaf is Portuguese knotted stem stitch.
