‘Vitruvian Fairy’ embroidery on my handcrafted notebook with hand aged paper. It was the first time I used a water-soluble embroidery stabilizer, and I didn't know how it would work. Would it ruin the fabric? Will it make the thread to change its color? Will it leave the pen ink? So I just put it to the test and it worked out just fine! The transparent layer with the pattern has dissolved, leaving the threads on the fabric. My store | Instagram

Vintage from a scratch. Everything started with small cross-stitch embroidery patterns from an old 90s magazine. I was young and I was just doing my first steps in needlework, that's why I've never dared to embroider these flowers. But after so many years, I did it, and put them on the notebook covers (yeah, I made a few notebooks, not only the one on the picture). So these sketchbooks are kinda my embroidered tribute to the past, which means a lot for me.

I planned to make journals with aged pages for a long time, as if they were stored in some Templar cache for a couple of centuries and then ended up on my desk. The only thing that was stopping me: I couldn’t come up with the cover designs, so I started to work on other projects. The first appeared journal was ‘𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐚’. I googled its true meaning, and here it is:
"The word is extremely ancient and originally was thought to be a powerful invocation with mystical powers. a piece of parchment inscribed with a triangular formula derived from the word, which acts like a funnel to drive the sickness out of the body."

Here is a little before/after embroidery process of one of the first ouija planchette brooches I ever made! I used a satin stitch and some beads to make it. I really like to style brooches / pins on the collar as you see, but actually it can be worn in any way. (Btw, I just started to use tumblr, so I would really appreciate it if you will follow my blog! You will find out about embroidery, crafting, sometimes I am telling the stories behind my crafts: why I crafted it, where I got inspiration, etc.)
