I don't think ya'll understand how much I want more content with AFOP side characters. I fell absolutely in love with Sosul the first time he came on screen and I NEVER see people talk about him. Itu, Solali, Okul. Even Emeray. Dudes a bit of an ass but a cute one. And don't get me started on Ya'fatar! There are so many good looking people in this game and I can't court any of them. I'm devastated
This is set in an AU apart from the primary timeline, where the Sarentu clan wasn't completely wiped out. The remaining members staged a rescue mission years earlier, the survivors coming together to rebuild what was left of their heritage.
However, in the chaos, the youngest Sarentu- Ri'nela's younger brother Na'tem was caught in an explosion, assumed dead. Instead, he was carried away, and spent the next 15 years being molded into the RDAs living weapon. (On the right)
During this time, Emeray of the Kame'tire Keawa, grows up under the shadow of his father, the Olo'eyktan, Memna. Traditionally, when the child of an Olo'eyktan comes of age, they taught by the Olo'eyktan. However, Memna instead chooses Imon, a renowned hunter to mentor him instead. As Emeray grows, he begins to be more and more desperate to prove himself to his father, launching a deadly counterstrike against the RDA the night before he becomes a warrior.
It ends a tragedy- Imon using the last of her strength to save him. Emeray storms back, demands that they go out and fight again to avenge her, only to have his father order the clan to retreat and hide. Emeray, gets into an argument with his father, and then leaves the clan on his own personal search for vengeance.
He travels far, determined to get his vengeance, only to come across the remains of the Sarentu Clan, now lead by the young Olo'eyktan, Ri'nela. He sees his own hurt reflected back in her eyes - she lost a brother and half of her clan- and it is with them that he learns a new way of being- one where he makes a new sort of vow- to protect others above all costs, even vengeance.
In the meantime, a rogue Na'vi known as the 'Ghost' is terrorizing Na'vi across the plains. He is silent, deadly, remorseless. Some of the Clans think him a punishment from Eywa, others a traitor. But as the Sarentu travel, they find themselves once again facing the RDA, and Emeray charges into battle, ignoring Ri'nela's warnings. The Ghost is fast and merciless, knocking him out quickly.
Emeray wakes up in an RDA Containment cell a day later.
He starts by screaming, yelling, threatening, anything to get through to his silent captor, who does not seem to hear him or respond. The humans ask him questions and he does not budge, and they push harder and harder. One of the nights, he finds himself humming an old tune to himself -one that Ri'nela hums sometimes when she is worried.
The Ghost stops then- voice hoarse from disuse, demanding to know where he heard that. Emeray tells him, and the Ghost seems to freeze. Then he steps back, stone once more, and the night passes.
The next day, Emeray is being shuffled to the next interrogation room, and suddenly the ghost interrupts the patrol, telling them he has orders to bring Emeray back to his cell. The humans pass him over, and the Ghost takes him down two more hall ways, before telling Emeray to be silent, stripping off his own armor and using his tactical knife to remove a small tracker under his skin. And then, with a couple quiet words, the Ghost sends them through an air duct, into swampy water below.
Emeray is not sure of the Ghosts motives, not sure if this is a trap, but with no other options, the two of them flee, through the marshlands into the vast stretches of the great plains- Their destination clear, but on foot, weeks away as they evade the RDA.
The warriors now have a mission and a path- but must learn to trust each other and maybe even more if they hope to survive the journey.
