Hii! I LOVE your avatar headcannons and afop headcannons. Do you think you could make head cannons based on this for avatar frontiers of pandora if you want to ofc
So basically its headcannons on how the characters would feel when they are upset at the reader(gn) for messing up a mission, but the reader feels really bad and sad about it because they are upset at them
When their S/O is guilt ridden
• The mission had been carefully planned. Every route, every signal, every contingency.
• Then, in a split second, you acted on instinct to help someone, revealing your group’s position.
• The RDA was alerted. Everyone escaped, but the objective was lost.
• The entire walk back to camp, So’lek barely says a word.
• Once you’re alone, his voice is calm, but noticeably colder than usual.
- “You let your emotions decide for you.”
• Hearing disappointment from him hurts far more than if he’d yelled.
• You try to explain, but the words get caught in your throat.
• He simply nods, still frustrated, and walks away to clear his head.
• You spend the rest of the evening sitting alone, replaying every second of the mission.
• By the time So’lek finds you again, you’re staring blankly into the fire.
• Before he can speak, you whisper, “I know I failed you.”
• That sentence immediately softens him before he kneels beside you.
- “You failed the mission. You did not fail me.”
• He admits he was angry because the mistake endangered everyone, including you.
• Instead of dwelling on it, he begins quietly discussing what could be done differently next time.
• For So’lek, mistakes are lessons, not reasons to abandon someone he loves.
• She VERY rarely loses her temper.
• Which is exactly why you’re stunned when she does.
• Her voice isn’t loud, but it’s sharp enough to make you flinch.
• You honestly thought you were helping. Instead, the mission fell apart.
• The guilt starts settling in immediately.
• You avoid looking at her for the rest of the walk back to the base.
• Later, she notices you’ve barely touched your dinner.
• When she asks if you’re alright.
- “…I ruined everything.”
- “And I made you angry.”
• The second she hears that, her frustration melts away.
• She sits beside you without hesitation. “I was upset because I was frightened.”
• She gently takes your hands. “I never wanted you to believe my anger meant I thought less of you.”
• She reminds you that everyone makes mistakes. The mission can be attempted again.
• And that losing you would have hurt far more.
• Teylan isn’t used to being angry with you. (Usually it’s the other way around.)
• Which makes it even worse when he finally snaps.
- “What were you thinking?!”
• The words leave his mouth before he can stop them.
• The silence afterward is unbearable.
• You immediately apologize. Again. And again.
• But every apology makes you feel worse instead of better.
• You end up quietly disappearing from camp because you’re convinced you’ve disappointed him.
• Teylan later panics when he goes looking for you and realizes you’re gone.
• He finds you sitting high in a tree by yourself.
• Your eyes are red from crying.
- “…You deserve someone who doesn’t ruin everything.”
• His heart absolutely shatters.
• He apologizes before you even can. “No. No, don’t think that.”
• He hugs you so tightly you almost can’t breathe.
• He admits he was scared during the mission and lashed out.
• By the end, both of you are apologizing to each other. (Hopeless)
• Nor’s anger is quiet. Almost unsettlingly quiet.
• After the mission, he simply says,
- “…We’ll talk later.” (Oh shii)
• Somehow that’s worse than yelling.
• You spend hours imagining every terrible thing he could say.
• By the time he comes to find you…
• You’ve already convinced yourself he’s disappointed in you.
- “I’m sorry…I know I made everything worse.”
• He watches you carefully. Then sighs.
- “You’ve already punished yourself far more than I ever could.”
• He explains exactly what went wrong, not to shame you, but so it won’t happen again.
• Then he unexpectedly places a hand on your shoulder. “I am angry.”
- “…But I still trust you.”
• Hearing those words nearly makes you cry.
• Trust wasn’t lost, it simply needed rebuilding through experience.
• Tamtey wears their emotions very openly.
• When the mission fails, everyone immediately knows that they are upset.
- “Do you know how dangerous that was?”
• Tamtey doesn’t mean to sound harsh. But they definitely do sound like it.
• You quietly whisper, “…Yes.”
• After that, you barely speak for the rest of the day.
• Normally you’re always beside them. Now you’re nowhere to be found.
• Their irritation quickly turns into worry.
• When they finally find you…
• You’re practicing the same failed maneuver over and over by yourself.
• Trying desperately not to make the same mistake again.
- “…I’m trying to fix it.”
• Their expression immediately softens before they walk over and gently stops you.
- “You don’t have to punish yourself.”
• Tamtey admits they were frustrated.
• But seeing how guilty you already felt made them regret the way they had spoken to you.
• The two of you spend the evening training together instead.
• Yikes what did you do to get him angry
• Eetu almost never raises his voice. Until the mission goes sideways.
- “That wasn’t the plan.”
• His disappointment is so painfully obvious that even you can’t even meet his eyes.
• You spend the rest of the day helping everyone clean equipment without saying a word.
• He notices how you, laugh less, smile less, hell even your ears droop whenever he walks by.
• Eventually he sits beside you. “…You’ve apologized seven times today.”
- “…I counted.” He said softly.
• You admit you’re terrified he’ll stop trusting you.
• He immediately shakes his head.
- “Trust isn’t broken by one mistake.”
•He gently bumps your shoulder. “It grows stronger when we learn from them together.”
• His calm reassurance finally lets you breathe again.
• Etuwa is deeply disappointed after the mission.
• Not because the objective failed but because so many lives were nearly put in danger.
• She tells you firmly that your decision was reckless.
• Every word feels heavier than the last.
• You just quietly accept every bit of criticism. You don’t argue once.
• That alone tells her how guilty you already feel.
• Later, she finds you making offerings to Eywa by yourself.
• You’re quietly asking for forgiveness.
- “…I brought shame to everyone.”
• Etuwa’s heart aches hearing that.
• She then goes over and kneels beside you.
- “No. You just made a mistake. Those are not the same thing.”
• She explains that true growth comes from accepting responsibility without allowing guilt to define who you are.
• Together, you finish the offering.
• Then she gently rests her forehead against yours.
- “Walk forward with me. Do not remain standing in yesterday.”
